See it if Story of a WWII female resistance fighter who can't adjust to mundane post-war life; well acted but felt dated; didn't quite hold up for me.

Don't see it if I think the post-WWII disillusionment theme no longer resonates as strongly. The play jumps back & forth in time, making it disjointed.

See it if What a cast! Every actor is perfect. Funny, crackling story of the newspaper biz in 1928, full of mayhem & fast paced dialog. I loved it!

Don't see it if You think a play written in 1928 is too dated; first act is slower but sets the story for what's to come. 3 hrs long, with 2 intermissions.

See it if Great small theater production. Singing was particularly strong; cast was energetic & delightful, clever staging. Thoroughly enjoyable!

Don't see it if You mind a "shoestring" production - don't expect Broadway. But still damn good. As others said, more live instruments would have been nice.

See it if Definitely meant for kids, so a great choice for families. Fun, spectacular bubble and laser tricks. Melody Yang is engaging & charming.

Don't see it if First 2-3 rows get a better, interactive experience with the bubbles; I felt kinda bad for those sitting further away. Don't expect a plot.

See it if I knew what it was going in, yet I expected better. Great music of course, but the plot was so thin, the chemistry so lacking - a big meh.

See it if Really funny skewering of religion & the 10 Commandments in the guise of God answering questions aided by 2 angels; Sean Hayes is delightful

Don't see it if You are religious; this pokes deep fun at it, and espouses atheism. The play is short and slight for Broadway; a 90 minute comic monologue.

See it if Staged readings of selected Edgar Allan Poe stories, the actors were excellent but I found the stories too similar & therefore repetitive.

Don't see it if While I knew what I was getting into, I missed having visuals and sound effects to hold my interest; there were some, just not enough.

See it if It's all about the music and performances, which are thrilling. Set in the 60's, it explores the formation of one musician's artistic self.

Don't see it if Plot is muddled; themes of race, religion, civil rights movement, birth of rock n' roll and being gay are touched on but not fully explored.

See it if I was charmed by this romantic musical about an orphan and her secret benefactor; it depicts her growth of independence & his growth of love

Don't see it if Takes place in 1911 and is a small, 2 person play. Mostly sung, it's lovely and will capture your heart. It's old fashioned in a good way.

See it if Fun, family friendly, full of dazzle and spectacle (that magic carpet!) The genie is a wonder. A delightful reminder of why we love showbiz.

Don't see it if It's a tad cheesy and yes, it's Disney. Less charming than the movie version. But it's so darn well done and infectious, just go with it!

See it if Premise of story told from the different perspectives of a newly engaged couple suffers from poor writing and acting; dull and amateurish

Don't see it if The lead actress repeatedly flubbed her lines and didn't project her voice over the loud hum of air conditioning; this was just bad theater

See it if Beautiful singing, harmonies and live orchestration but failed to engage because there was no discernible plot and no character development.

Don't see it if You need dialog; this was entirely sung. I tried hard but couldn't make much sense of what was happening or the characters' relationships.

See it if The concept (actor sees script for the 1st time at the show) is interesting but the show wasn't. Martin Short was charming, did his best.

Don't see it if You don't like audience participation - there was lots. If you need a coherent plot - there was none. Celebrity names can't salvage this.

See it if Unique, graphically violent, funny as hell send up of 80's self absorbed Wall St. greed culture. Fantastic staging and effects; I loved it!

Don't see it if This is a violent play with lots of splashing blood and dismembered limbs. Might offend some; not for the squeamish. Ending was ambiguous.

See it if Classic play with great acting performances all around; strange, symbolic imagery and modern dress were interesting directorial choices.

See it if Energetic, soaring musical of Alice Walker's novel; amazing vocals; Cynthia Erivo and Danielle Brooks were standouts; many standing ovations

Don't see it if I loved the minimalist set with clever use of chairs as props, but others may find it sparse; Jennifer Hudson was weakest part of cast.

See it if This 1953 Leonard Bernstein/Comden & Green musical really holds up - funny, sharp, terrific music & lyrics. Cast is obviously having a ball.

Don't see it if This is a low budget, staged reading with absolutely minimal sets and costumes; as long as you're okay with this you'll have a blast!

See it if Amazing, indescribable experience of sensory overload, with impeccably choreographed technical, visual and aural effects. Will blow you away

Don't see it if you need a coherent plot or don't like flashing lights, high tech effects. It's an experience for the senses, not a traditional play.

See it if A refreshing and quirky story of a mom facing bankruptcy and her avoidance of reality; wonderful, endearing performance by Deirdre O'Connell

Don't see it if It goes on a bit too long and fizzles out without a satisfying ending, but mostly I was entertained. O'Connell knows how to spin a yarn.

See it if Charming musical where each member of the stellar ensemble cast has a moment to shine; wonderful sets; romantic and sweet story.

Don't see it if The music is fizzy and cute but not terribly memorable. Otherwise, an old fashioned feel good musical in the best sense of the word.

See it if Sorry, seemed like a one-note comedy sketch that was drawn out waaaay too long. I don't think Broadway is the right venue; material too thin

Don't see it if Clearly I'm in the minority as audience was in hysterics. I just didn't find it hugely funny; it picked up a bit at the end.

See it if Masterful performance by Hershey Felder, who channels Leonard Bernstein in an intense, absorbing one man show. Exquisite piano playing.

Don't see it if A unique biographical piece, this show is often dark. You learn about Bernstein the man, but also about his key musical influences.

Also A good share of the musical selections are non-Bernstein pieces - such as Mahler, Copeland, Beethoven, etc. Perhaps a bit too many.... Read more Read less

See it if 2-actor story of Rosetta Tharpe & protege Marie Knight; powerful singing, glorious gospel & blues music. Glimpse of origins of rock n roll.

Don't see it if No intermission, story was a bit long & drawn out, then abruptly rushed at the end. Music was stellar but actors faked playing instruments.

See it if A quirky, spoof-ish telling of the true story of an 1869 Wild West river expedition - macho males played by an all female cast. Very funny!

Don't see it if You're annoyed by over-the-top parody and silliness. Which is the whole point. Ensemble acting was excellent.

See it if I LOVED this - what a hoot! Campy, over-the-top & totally entertaining. Vocal talent was amazing; cast was having a great time & it shows.

Don't see it if You don't like high camp, satire, cross dressing or a silly plot. But that's what makes it so much fun; audience was howling with laughter.

See it if Funny, silly send-up of Hamilton & Hamiltonmania, with other Broadway references mashed in. Great ensemble, great voices, a fun time!

See it if Moving depiction of 4 Detroit auto workers facing the imminent closing of their plant; seen from both white collar & blue collar perspective

Don't see it if Acting was terrific. Story unfolds slowly; not much action. One actress spoke in a strong dialect that was sometimes hard to follow.

See it if Dena Blizzard is engaging, personable and funny. Nothing new here, just well worn (but still funny) rants about being a mother of young kids

Don't see it if You're expecting a play; it's more of a stand up routine. I may have appreciated it more 20 years ago when my kids were still young.

See it if A Brooklyn hipsterish, grittier version of Cirque du Soleil. Incredible acrobats perform up close, with attitude, charm and unique props.

Don't see it if You need to sit; this is on your feet for 2 hours, being moved around by guides (although some people in the front just sat on the floor).

See it if Gillian Anderson is sublime as Blanche Dubois; interesting take on this classic play with modern set and rotating stage; strong overall cast

Don't see it if Ben Foster was a weak Stanley Kowalski, which diminished the play's force; long running time (3 1/2 hours) was challenging to sit through

See it if Poignant but dark story; man in the yellow suit is truly creepy. Great sets but mostly forgettable songs. Ballet that sums up end was lovely

See it if One man show tribute to Van Gogh by actor portraying his brother Theo; despite a heartfelt effort it was dull and failed to engage me.

Don't see it if I liked the ever changing, large scale projections of Van Gogh's paintings and drawings but the rest felt like a slow, boring lecture.

See it if Depiction of a man's descent into Alzheimer's; the audience is literally taken inside his mind. Langella is masterful and heartbreaking.

Don't see it if you wish for something light and happy; this is an intense, sad, gripping theater experience. May be too close to home for some.

See it if Musical biography of Cagney's rise through Hollywood; Robert Creighton really channels Cagney. Great singing and tap dancing, lots of heart.

Don't see it if Small stage with minimal sets, yet musical numbers feel large scale. I left with an appreciation of Cagney the man, not just the actor.

See it if Achingly beautiful, sad and creative backstory of the Tin Man. Inventive use of puppetry, gestures, sounds, violin with not much dialogue.

Don't see it if If you need words to follow a story, you might not like this. But I've never seen anything like it - completely fresh and different.
