See it if To hear a sweet story about family, there are some touching moments, good actors overall, set in modern Kentucky which is really interesting

Don't see it if It’s not the most profound story I have ever seen, but it is enjoyable, don’t come looking to see innovation

See it if very dark and informative about some really tough times, really uncomfortable theatre in a GOOD way, very important messages in this one

Don't see it if this does take place during slavery so if that is triggering keep that in mind, not looking for something dark, sensitive to miscarriage

See it if It is now closed but what a wonderful show, so freaking funny I was dying of laughter which is really important these days

Don't see it if It’s very 70s/80s New York, little bit of charactures, not completely true to life but so funny

See it if To see a very interesting story that is very well written and not a story you have seen before on stage, Heather Raffo is wonderful

Don't see it if Not into an intellectual drama, if you’re looking for something explosive, it’s very slow slow burn drama that takes patience and grace

See it if You want to see the female experience told horrifically and beautifully stage, relatable stories about girls and women, explosive theatre

Don't see it if You are uncomfortable with nudity, sexual trauma, loud music, but all of this overall is very tastefully done so it’s worth it

See it if You want to see a fun little show with roller skating! Funky music and I enjoyed some of the quirky writing, funny actors!

Don't see it if Don’t expect to see enormous depth but it’s fun, actors give a very low stakes performance so it’s hard to get behind the characters

See it if to see a wonderful set and to see a meaningful story, great acting on both the actors parts, very relevant content to right now

Don't see it if some really intense topics in this show so be wary of that, gets dark really fast, the writing doesn't really help with the dark material

Also Loved Sugar in Our Wounds and this one was really good as well but not as well written honestly. Donja Love knows how to tug at your heartstings so I was very moved, but a lot of the plot seemed to be bombs dropped rather than weaved in. See it if Perfect show honestly, it’s short and sweet, these ladies are badass! don’t want to miss their story, theatre that changes the game

Don't see it if Not looking for something that can get dark, girls being mean to each other (like the title), SEE IT

See it if you love the text of R&J and Uncle Vanya because there are some really clever moments in this, you like experimental, absurdist theatre

Don't see it if you are looking for something traditional, IT'S LONNNNGGG, not into meshing two plays that don't really go together, not a fan of classics

See it if to see a really tight show with great actors and a deeply meaningful script, felt a little long to me sometimes but other times it flew by

Don't see it if you are not interested in the subject matter because you want to really be able to listen & be present to all the history, not a light piece

See it if You are interested in seeing a discourse between two smart women, very good writing, relevant writing that isn’t cliched

Don't see it if You aren’t willing to listen to talk of politics and the way history has been taught in this country, not into 2 handers w/ little plot

See it if To see a different story told in a very unique way, to see a couple good performances, to see some fascinating staging

Don't see it if You aren’t looking for something preachy or the message being spoon fed to you in the last 5 mins, not into the fourth wall breaking

See it if You want to see 2 lovely plays about Idaho and the people in one go, SAM HUNTER is a wonderful writer, Clarkston is well worth the wait

Don't see it if Not down for 3.5 hours, looking for flashy theatre, not genuinely interested in the subject matter

Don't see it if it is long so just know that going in, you are not interested in Irish history, not down for long monologues

Don't see it if you are judgmental about religion or Southerners, you are looking for something light hearted

Don't see it if you are into something more traditional and cookie cutter, not into politics, not about new ways of telling stories

See it if you enjoy clever ways of doing Shakespeare, you want to see some food fights, some funny mechanicals!

Don't see it if you don't want to see yet another Midsummer..., you don't like longer cuts of Shakespeare shows

See it if Hope this comes back someday! Very enchanting show and trippy! The performers who played Marie was absolutely magnifying

Don't see it if Could have used maybe a little more script love but really wonderful overall!

See it if an excellent & relevant period piece with beautiful performances, direction, and a fantastic set, if you want to see sharp fresh directing

See it if I don’t care who you are, see this please. All the elements of great theatre merge together to create a play full of power and beauty.

Don't see it if You get triggered by some really hard topics having to do with slavery, but it is done tastefully and truthfully, I promise.

Also Finally, a show at MTC that is relevant and moving. They have a history of putting up plays very limited in diversity and subject matter. But this is a gift, this is the American theatre. This show is challenging, riveting, and not to me missed. Bravo!... Read more Read less

Don't see it if Not into marital dramas, looking for something bigger scale

See it if I honestly can’t really think of anything. Maybe if you like extremely waspy theatre. Maybe if family dramas are your thing.

Don't see it if You are looking for anything of any real substance, you get bored by family dramas about switching school systems & a white man’s nostalgia

See it if You want to see a play about housing in the nyc area and if you want to see select few good actors make bad writing so much more bareable

Don't see it if You don’t have an hour and a half to kill, you find annoying actor/narrators obnoxious like me, can’t ignore weak writing

Also If I have to see a male white actor narrate a play the whole entire time I’m going to implode. They are not a helpful or necessary device in a play. That technique should have stopped at Our Town. Show out to the actors playing the couple. They really grounded their circumstances in truth which was appreciated. Don't see it if You don’t like Michael Cera’s humor (but he’s so funny I swear), expecting lots of plot twists (this play is about the people)

See it if You have never seen a production and want to see a language heavy production of Lear, Edmund’s speeches, you enjoy Anthony Sher

Don't see it if You are looking to see a new or refreshing take, you want to see an edge -of-your-seat thrilling production, you get bored very quickly

See it if you have an hour of your life to kill, you enjoy Leslye Headland's interesting point of view in her work, acting is good but sterotypical

Don't see it if you like Leslye Headland's work (it will disappoint), you want to see something profound, you'd rather see more deep work about women

See it if you like plays that are about current issues and are interested by the different perspectives no matter how it is executed

Don't see it if triggered by current events involving school violence, looking for fluffy, you are a gun owner (or maybe do see it)

See it if You enjoy Adam Rapp,you like intimate plays with mystery, you like work that isn’t your typical mainstream show, you like one person shows

Don't see it if You don’t like writing with provocative subject matter, you’re uncomfortable with small intimate plays, you’re expecting something neat

Don't see it if You don’t have interest in Deaf culture, you don’t get a good price for the ticket, you aren’t into commercializing this subject matter

See it if Must see. Short & sweet. Flies by in the best way. See it if you like dynamic plays about very important race topics. Great production.

Don't see it if You're looking for something more fully fleshed out, it's only 80 minutes, but you won't be disappointed! Don't care about race relations.

See it if you want a very general liberal opinion about the world with very little complexity, you want to see a few good performances

Don't see it if you are looking for more depth in theatre

Don't see it if You are sensitive around the topic of miscarriage, you know a lot about space and are looking for accuracy in science

Also This play’s humor is probably the best thing about it. There is a character that personifies the Voyager that is completely non-consequential and elementary. Unfortunately the actress did not help the character be digestible in any way so it kinda ruined the play for me. However, if the part had been cut, there would be no symbolic meaning to the story or have any bigger purpose. The added character just made it harder to watch. Besides that, the other actors were very good and did their best with what they were given. Jon Hoche as always was wonderfully hilarious! Also Edi Gathegi deserves a Tony for this performance and unfortunately he won't even be considered because of the shallow commercialism that is mainstream Broadway theatre. Also I will never forget how incredible this production was, I still think about it a lot. Adam Rapp captures big swooping feeling in this play by use of intense characters, powerful staging, and masterful ideas. Great use of the space!
