See it if you like shows that are based on true stories and you're in the mood for a high-stakes dramatic play.

Don't see it if you're looking for some escapism, or if you would jump too much at some abrupt lighting and sound changes.

October 16th, 2021

See it if you're a David Byrne/Talking Heads fan, or if you love lively musicians and fun choreography, or reflecting on art and life in America.

Don't see it if you want nothing political, or you're only there because of great reviews. I personally thought it was overhyped, but I enjoyed some of it.

See it if you're a fan of Lili Taylor and/or Wallace Shawn's writing, or if you like reflecting on privilege and inequity in the world.

Don't see it if you want to see a play that has a clear beginning, middle, and end (I genuinely couldn't tell you what happened to her in the story. Vague.)

See it if you like plays that experiment with format, if you like a strong ensemble cast, or if you like dramatic stories similar to Next to Normal.

Don't see it if three simultaneous scenes on stage would throw you off too much, or if you don't want to see suicidally depressed people or drug users.
