The Hairy Ape
Upper E Side
Absorbing, Exquisite, Great acting, Great staging, Intense

See it if This show was masterfully directed. Bobby Canavale was AMAZING in it. What a great revival.

Don't see it if You should see it. Its a very difficult to perform play, as it is dated, yet this team brings it to new life!

The View UpStairs
East Village
Clever, Entertaining, Cliched, Quirky

See it if I thought the show was fun and had a great story. I wish they had given out programs BEFORE the show, so I knew it was based on true events.

Don't see it if You aren't up for a naught, LGBTQ piece that celebrates diversity. Its all about love and acceptance - a great message.

Great Again

Great acting, Ambitious, Refreshing

See it if It was just really cool to see two new plays that works together so well. One was a huge cast/movement piece. The other was realistic drama.

Don't see it if I found the first, In The Line, piece quite moving and fun to watch, but it wasn't really about anything specific. It was all experience.

Overrated, Intelligent, Clever

See it if You want to see a heady piece that incorporates art world and intellectuals.

Don't see it if You are expecting a more entertaining evening. It's all about being witty, which isn't always all that fun.

Disappointing, Intense

See it if You want to take a chance on a play that isn't "feel good" stuff but more thought-provoking.

Don't see it if You want a play that ties up all the loose ends. This doesn't give you all the answers and might leave you a bit lost.
