Don't see it if you want something unique or new.

Also The staging, costume and sets are beautiful -- the production values are great -- but the book is paper thin and the supporting cast's acting is all over the place. The second act is almost entirely plotless ('i want a hit'). All of these bio-jukebox musicals follow the same format with the same happy "She Made It!" ending and it's tiring to sit through.

Don't see it if The word 'emoji' already makes you cringe. If you take yourself too seriously. This is exactly what you think it'll be.

Also Also It's fine if you go into it knowing that it's 70% cringe, 15% boredom, 15% charm. A worthwhile 'hate watch' and I applaud the cast for their commitment. Songs are simply not catchy enough for the cartoonish material. Costume choices are wild (! why is police woman so sexy??). But a few genuinely funny jokes and premises.

Don't see it if skip it. it's just fart jokes and dick jokes and absurdist ramblings. there is little to takeaway here.

See it if you love either of the actors, you like experimental theater of poetry

Don't see it if you want a linear plot or story. there is no story here really, it's just a poem adapted to the stage

Also Ben Whishaw and Renee Fleming do an incredible job with what they are given. What they are given is essentially an avant garde poem that continually hits on the theme of comparing Marilyn Monroe to Helen of Troy. There is no real plot or insight beyond that.... Read more Read less

Don't see it if you cannot suspend belief -- this story is not at all plausible, but just have fun

Also tbh this show is pretty problematic. it did put a lot of time into the #metoo storylines and experiences of being a woman, but the one thing missing from this show was any kind of gender/queer commentary -- for something in 2019 that is about a man dressing as a woman, there is nothing here that teaches the audience about trans experiences, or the difference between this and drag. you'd think they'd at least have a gay character in the show that acts as the voice of approval. instead the crossdressing is just used as a joke.... Read more Read less

Also There is something interesting about the first Broadway play written by an Asian-American female to be about and almost entirely starring straight, white men. It is fun and funny, and has a message (that is perhaps a bit too forward).

See it if you''d like to see the Dracula story put through a feminist lens. You like well-staged and well-produced theater and action/horror stories.

Don't see it if you'd dislike a gender-swapped story, or modern-minded adaptations of classic tales.

Also for the most part it is well acted - Mina & Dracula being standouts to me. The script often repeats itself, especially when making its feminist points. And the moments of Van Helsing's humor are sometimes eyebrow-rasingly bad. But ultimately it is a fun action-driven story told in a unique way that makes great use of costumes and the theater's space.

Don't see it if you like any amount of action, plot, or well-crafted storytelling. this script is incredibly unfocused

Also this was a very very long 90 minutes! The "plot" ... halfway through I still had no idea what this was about, why this was ever produced, or where it was going. So many bizarre and random tragedies are mentioned but go nowhere. There is no tension at any point. To overcorrect, the character faces the audience for the last minute and explains the show's simple message.

At the end I was just left wondering "so what?". I was surprised to learn this was a complete work of fiction and not even based on true events. I thought surely this must have been somebody's vanity project.

I liked the soundtrack beforehand, but the staging and dance numbers really sold it for me and made me a fan.

Also This was viscerally bad. The writing is offensive for the pure purpose of offending, I am surprised any of the actors wanted to take part.
