See it if You love great acting of a well-written piece

Don't see it if You’re not interested in the catharsis that comes with a great drama

Must see, Absorbing, Great acting, Resonant, Riveting

See it if you want to know more about the refugee crisis and more about humanity in general

Don't see it if No. You MUST see it

Disappointing, Confusing, Thought-provoking, Ambitious, Clever

See it if You want to see the story through a very much refracted lense done by great actors

Don't see it if You want the magic of the story to still come through

Disappointing, Indulgent, Great writing, Ambitious, Clever

See it if you want to see a masterful adaptation of Thackeray's novel. The writing is quite good

Don't see it if you want to see the execution miss the mark. Unnecessary anachronistic dance sequences as well as rampant, shallow over-acting water it down

Intelligent, Absorbing, Refreshing, Great staging, Great writing

See it if you want to see an excellent new ensemble based play.

Don't see it if you wouldn't enjoy a nuanced look at life through the lens of a high school girls' soccer team. I certainly did

Disappointing, Clever, Fluffy, Quirky, Thought-provoking

See it if for a clever comedic vehicle for critiquing the baby-boomer generation as well as millenials that makes you think.

Don't see it if you want to leave the theater with a sense of clarity about the show. But maybe that's the point. Definitely a conversation starter

Resonant, Edgy, Intense, Thought-provoking, Absorbing

See it if you like the shows that help you grow as a human being

Don't see it if you're not in an open-minded mood.

Disappointing, Quirky, Fluffy, Great staging

See it if you want to catch Kelly Curran in an amazing performance

Don't see it if you prefer good acting across the board from all 5 performers

68
Quirky, Great writing, Disappointing, Fluffy, Funny

See it if You love the music, and you'd like to see a new, lighter take on the material

Don't see it if you're looking for more depth. The humor isn't used as a way of coping with the difficulties of life in this production. It's played light

Masterful, Must see, Profound, Resonant, Thought-provoking

See it if you love great acting with an across the board great cast doing great writing.

Don't see it if you get your panties in a bunch about cursing, nudity, or other such silly things to worry about

Clever, Hilarious, Entertaining, Enchanting, Delightful

See it if you're looking for a show that you can bring the kids to. I saw it with an audience filled with children and the energy was infectious.

Don't see it if you're looking for something more geared strictly for adults

Funny, Quirky, Disappointing, Clever

See it if you want to see a show that explores family dynamics and alcoholism and race with a cast of five

Don't see it if one of those 5 cast members being such an excruciatingly bad actor ruins much of the good work the other artists are doing. It's a shame.

Slow, Disappointing, Great staging, Great singing

See it if You like Bob Dylans's music and you'd like to see some great performances (though uneven)

Don't see it if you're expecting something other than an overall "mood" to experience.

Also All of Dylan's music has been orchestrated beautifully, but unfortunat... Read more Read less

Slow, Confusing, Intimate, Great acting

See it if you like watching good performances in an intimate setting

Don't see it if you want to be able to follow the writing. High potential, but fat too much time spent in the character's childhoods. Not quite enough info

72
Shallow, Fluffy, Energetic, Epic, Great staging

See it if you want to see the theater space transformed and some highly energetic performers combined with spectacle

Don't see it if you like your spectacle balanced with story. Even though the plot is relatively simple, the mumbled lyrics and shallow writing, don't help.

Also Still worth seeing for the design elements and some of the individual ... Read more Read less

Great dancing, Quirky, Overrated, Disappointing, Dated

See it if you love great dancing and singing. The show attempts to recreate the original, which is great if you love museum theater I suppose...

Don't see it if you like story-driven theater. It's pretty campy. Also, the lyrics (though largely unimportant) are mostly unintelligible.

Great staging, Great acting, Great singing, Masterful, Must see

See it if you want to see a show done by an absolutely flawless cast across the board. I mean superb.

Don't see it if you judge shows by how "catchy the tunes are." That is not what this show is about.

Intelligent, Epic, Entertaining, Clever, Ambitious

See it if you want to see a great version of this very difficult Shakespeare play. They made some great choices.

Don't see it if you don't like Shakespeare done well outdoors

See it if you love the music of the Four Seasons and would love to know more about them.

Don't see it if you don't like a jukebox musical

Great acting, Intelligent, Thought-provoking, Relevant, Absorbing

See it if you want to see a play that accurately and beautifully reflects the concerns of modern day life

Don't see it if you don't like realism. You prefer your shows with two Acts

Enchanting, Great staging, Refreshing, Masterful, Must see

See it if you want to be delightfully surprised with every new scene around the bend. Impossible to be bored with so many great theatrical elements.

Don't see it if you don't like theater that invites the audience to use their imaginations along with the brilliant artists onstage
