See it if You like Meatloaf and you want to hear great singers see it.

Don't see it if If you like any kind of interesting story that strings the songs together. You know, like a musical is supposed to do. Also, lots of strobes

Also This is the stupidest show I think I've ever seen on this scale. The performances are great, but this show does not need to exist. The story starts off semi interesting, but soon devolves into nothing. The use of the onstage camera person is interesting at first, but then acts as a cover for lazy/bad staging. There's so much to look at, you have no idea where your eye is supposed to focus, which is a good metaphor for the whole thing. Unfocused. This is exactly the musical we don't need. See it if You want to see a well acted production of 'Night Mother and stirring performances by Erin Cronican and Brandon Walker

Don't see it if If you don't want to see two shows that have little to do with each other, a one note performance by the older actor in A Number. Long night

Also The Seeing Place has done some wonderful productions, but they truly need to stop these double features. The evening becomes so long and, in this case, the first show is so confusing and unremarkable that you don't really want to stay for the second play, which is far superior. Brandon and Erin are both great, but rather than insist on each having a show to star in each time, they would be more successful spacing the shows out. These two show evenings are becoming hard to sit through, especially when they squeeze a two act play into a one act time slot in order to be able to do another show. See it if You want to see Fiddler told in the most authentic way possible. You love a great ensemble. You want to see an old fave in a new light.

Don't see it if You don’t like supertitles. You need it to be in English. You need fancy sets and effects.

Also Joel Grey is amazing for taking this on and did a beautiful job. The whole show is exquisitely cast, the simple designs allow the text, music, and dancing to really shine. It’s old world, yet new at the same time and can make you feel intensely emotional.

See it if You want to see a great actress tackle a very challenging show, well staged in a space that could be problematic, but isn’t in this staging.

Don't see it if You don’t like a character spending much of the time reading letters/ journals/ emails. Not the fault of the company, just how the play is.

Also Many have called this play problematic or antisemetic. I didn’t see that. Possibly a little uneven. One wonders if Rachel took the time to research multiple sides of an issue, but that’s neither here nor there. I suspect most of the people who have complained have not seen the show, but I cannot speculate and I know not everyone’s views are the same. Don't see it if You want to see memorable performances of these characters. You're looking to laugh

Also Kelli O'hara lacks the gravitas to accurately play this grand diva. Will Chase lacks the vocal chops to really nail these songs. With the exception of James T. Lane and Corbin Bleu, everyone was kinda forgettable. Comedy was sacrificed big time for vocals. Disappointing production of a great show.... Read more Read less

Don't see it if You want the strength and individuality that Harvey brought to the original.

Also Michael Urie is a great actor, but he was not particularly right for this role. It should have been a larger actor and one whose first instinct was not to cry at everything (particularly in Act 2). Granted, that could be a directorial mistake. Don't see it if You don’t like shows where one actor plays multiple roles.

See it if You want to see an edgy, hilarious show with amazing performances, songs that you'll want to hear again, and amazing use of a small space.

Don't see it if You don't like dirty jokes or if you require a large set. Very few bells and whistles here. Doesn't need them.
