Don't see it if you're looking for bravery, & risk. This is a pretty safe show, appealing to a wide audience.
See it if You want to smile, & dance in your seat, & be aroused. The leads are more singers than actors, so the cheesy love story reads as such.

See it if You enjoy cutting edge theatre, with themes about race, relationships, and mental health.

Don't see it if You're hoping to learn about mental health, or how Nellie's work helped to lead to better situation for people with mental health disorders
See it if You enjoy classical theatre, tasty language, & violence. Very imbalanced. Video was an odd choice. Actors, hit or miss.
Don't see it if You want to see a well directed play. This show lacked focus and consistency. The script is also indulgent and difficult.
See it if You enjoy a classic by a modern writer. Daniels & cast are fantastic. Incredibly directed/staged. Script: dialogue strong, narration weak.
Don't see it if To rightfully boycott Scott Rudin's (quarter-billionaire) recent monopoly on the story. The dude's bullying community regional theaters.
See it if You enjoy strange, slow-developing stories with repetitive themes, told by fantastic actors in an uniquely staged format.
Don't see it if You prefer traditional storylines with clear plot/objectives. This story folds in on itself, intentionally, and is interesting, but unclear.
See it if An honest story about a troubled young man. Stellar acting by the youngest & oldest actresses in the cast. Writing was in/out; great ending.
Don't see it if Set design/transitions hurt momentum. Acting was unbalanced; young man and guardian were not as strong. Play should start later in story.
See it if You enjoy fun silly high-school middle-America stories. Lots of fun choreography, songs, and jokes. Cute show shedding light on LGBTQ youth.
Don't see it if You want serious drama. This is a fluff-fest and it's lovely. Drama within the story, but the tone stays light. Top of 2nd act a bit slow.
See it if You enjoy unique story-telling. Using classic mime technique to tell stories that resonate with people today. IE online dating.
Don't see it if You're looking for a musical/dialogue or one long-form story. This is Mime. No speaking. Their stories are short, 15 minutes max.
See it if You enjoy quality work. Not a lot of risk; everything felt very safe, but it was enjoyable.
Don't see it if You're looking for a production with teeth. It has all of the elements, an interesting/fun script, solid actors, great facility but no teeth
See it if You enjoy long-form stand-up comedy. You are entering parenthood, or have fond memories looking back on entering parenthood.
Don't see it if You're looking for a play. This isn't a play, it's long-form (heartfelt) stand-up on a Broadway stage/schedule.
See it if You enjoy simple beautiful acting/writing/direction. This was a wonderful production that never tried to bee too much.
Don't see it if You're looking for traditional flashy broadway. This is a story.
See it if It lives up to all of the hype. Trust everything you've heard. It's great.
Don't see it if English isn't your first language. They speak/sing/wrap quickly. Otherwise, it's truly masterful.
See it if You want to encourage broadway producers to continue jamming together jukebox musicals with limited artistic interest or integrity.
Don't see it if You enjoy quality art.
See it if You enjoy well-cast plays w/ 15 committed actors. A solid script and production that provokes thoughts on religion, community, & marriage.
Don't see it if Lots of yelling, but appropriate for the story.

Don't see it if You enjoy well-constructed theatre. This was sad.
See it if You enjoy seeing a veteran actor strut his stuff. A wonderful performer.
Don't see it if The script is a bit rocky. Not sure it needed to be a one person show, and could use some editing from a more seasoned writer.
See it if Birney & Houdyshell are so good. So, so good. Also this script is incredible. A really wonderful production.
Don't see it if You like tied up comfortable endings. This play makes you work through the entire script to understand the end.
See it if Gyllenhaal is great. A really fantastic actor. He could embrace his full body a bit more, if anything. The production is also strong, simple
Don't see it if Ashford is strong, but leans into jokes/mugs for the audience. When she shakes these fallback habits, she's dynamite. Show's a bit slow.
See it if You enjoy the play. It is an interesting take. Mantello is good, but doesn't dig quite deep enough. Fields is strong, but lacks variety/arc.
Don't see it if You have a specific vision of how the show should be presented. This production takes artistic liberties. Some conventions work, some don't.
See it if You enjoy fantastic acting. Metcalfe was outstanding, and Houdyshell was too. Cooper was great, but a bit cinematic. The script is wonderful
Don't see it if You are less familiar with A Doll's House. It isn't 100% necessary that you know the piece, but will help tremendously.
See it if You enjoy a good set. The swimming pool in front of the stage is exciting, and well-used.
Don't see it if You enjoy strong scripts with strong acting. This isn't Hnath's best piece. Actors & directors seemed to struggle to believe the material.
See it if You enjoy Hunter's work. Glick & Winters are stand-outs, the rest of the cast is solid, and Kendall & Jaeck need to dig a bit deeper.
Don't see it if You're looking for action-driven plot. Hunter writes about characters who are trying to figure out what to do, rather than doing it.
See it if You enjoy immersive theatre, with great actors, & fun creative storytelling.
Don't see it if You're looking for a traditional theatrical experience. This is unique, and broken down, and charming.
See it if You enjoy sitcom style theatre. Solid, nothing profound. Glick gives a great performance as always, in his standard Cera-style.

See it if You enjoy dance & opera & sexual tension
Don't see it if Sexuality makes you uncomfortable.
See it if You enjoy solid storytelling through irish(sounding)-pop-rock by fantastic actors under stellar direction. A wonderful production all around
Don't see it if Sept. 11th is a trigger. I was brought to tears many times being reminded of the day and the images. If that day haunts you, see this later.
See it if You are into seeing Disney's stage re-creations. Lovely performance with cheesy acting mimicking the film. Not original but creative & cute.
Don't see it if You want to see something original or unique. The movie on stage, very few new elements. Some staging was creative, and tech was fantastic.
See it if You know someone in the show.
Don't see it if You respect yourself. This was unfortunately poorly written, directed, and performed.
See it if You enjoy solid acting, and dynamic character relationships, with fantastic situations. Bravo to playwright especially, also director & cast

Don't see it if You are easily offended, at foul language or sexual situations.
See it if You love Al Pacino or David Mamet.
Don't see it if There are a lot of reasons not to see this. The play is interesting, Pacino is good, but there's not enough substance to make this worth it.
See it if You want to see Jeff Daniels' remarkable performance. The play is also very thought-provoking.
Don't see it if Michelle Williams was over-acting from time to time, but does make some interesting choices.
See it if You want to see two veteran pro's put on a fantastic play.
Don't see it if You are looking for a musical, an action piece, or have a short attention span. Otherwise, I'd recommend this show to most people.
See it if You want to support the two character actors, they were going for it! And the script is cute.
Don't see it if You want to see M. Broderick at his best, this isn't it. Also, the girl playing Sylvia was mugging beyond what the piece called for.
See it if Thankfully, this show has closed, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Though I have met people who liked it.
Don't see it if You want to see quality performers, who try. This whole production seemed a bit like a joke. The lead guy, & the writing were POOR quality.
See it if You want a fun night of a movie-based pop-style Broadway musical. It's fresh, fun, and incredibly well done. Comparable to Legally Blonde.
Don't see it if You're expecting originality, striking drama, or realism. The production value of this show is very high, but it's stylized for broad crowds
See it if You enjoy intellectual drama/comedy, & paying close attention to dialogue. Sit close to the stage: TV & Film actors not playing full-space.
Don't see it if You prefer "theatricality'. This play is about the dialogue; situations that each character is thrown into, and how they choose to deal.
See it if you like a solid solo performance and are fine with 90 minutes of rhyming couplets. This play is cute, the actress is charming.
Don't see it if You want a story arc with conflict.
See it if You enjoy clever writing and charming performances. This play is funny, well directed and well performed.
Don't see it if you are easily confused, the play makes us work a bit to keep up with the conventions but it doesn't ask too much of it's audience.
See it if you enjoy Trey Parker & Matt Stone's (South Park) style. This is a wonderful production.
Don't see it if You are easily offended, and/or closed minded.
See it if you enjoy coming of age stories. Fantastic directing, acting, design, writing, music. All around fabulous production.
Don't see it if You should really see this one. Though I saw it with B. Platt, I bet the new kid is great, too.
See it if You enjoy old-stye musicals. An ad that said "a combo of Jersey Boys and West Side Story," this is accurate.
Don't see it if You want great acting or dramatic stage tension. This is a fine production, but it does lack in grit. This production is risking very little
