See it if you like to hear singing and dancing interspersed with torture plotlines and hackneyed father daughter storyline. Flat dialogue and writing.
Don't see it if you need the tonal and plot elements to congeal. If you don't like earnest writing mixed w/ pandering rock numbers and weirdly bad dialogue.
See it if you want to engage with contemporary political issues on a micro level, if you want to see a master class in acting by Emily Davis.
Don't see it if you need conventional plot or naturalistic staging. The play is verbatim transcripts from Reality Winner's arrest and not much more.
See it if you like disjointed existential plays with no character development or plot and large casts with no real roles for the actors to play.
Don't see it if You were a fan of some of Eno's other plays like Middletown and The Realistic Joneses. This one has a pandering, treacly falseness.
See it if You want to engage in a discourse about how race and power intersect in relationships. If you like edgy, fragmented, tonally ambitious work
Don't see it if Arguments and characters aren't really developed. Play is lopsided and sort of reductive with a few illuminating or provocative insights.
See it if Has resonance of Wallace Shawn--the writing is very good. Every expectation frustrated or overturned. This is delicate and very ambitious.
Don't see it if you don't like talky plays with not much plot. This is slightly more expermental than some of Hnath's other work. Not totally successful.
See it if you enjoy believably drawn relationship between main two female characters, some really funny moments, good acting
Don't see it if This feels like a show Circle Rep would have done in the early 80s. Dated and old-fashioned, and somewhat boring and formless.
See it if You like watching white narcissistic middle aged men acting out for three hours, icky innuendos, and Neil Simon one liners. Actors are ok.
Don't see it if You have no tolerance for horrible straight white guys whining and being horrible and "sardonic" and don't like ugly sets.
