See it if truly reimagined. shines a light (literally) on the dark undercurrents. the supporting actors are incredible - Ali Stroker!!!!!! must-see.
Don't see it if it's challenging to sit through. almost 3 hours. almost TOO many ideas. i did not like Damon Daunno as Curly. and i didn't get chili!
See it if this is a very impressive production. i especially loved the first big family scene and the dancing scene
Don't see it if i was very bored many times during the 3+ hour runtime. i had trouble with the accents and differentiating the many different characters.
See it if i enjoyed the writing and performances. i hope many schools produce this. it's great to see young actors engaging with these issues.
Don't see it if best to avoid this show if you are averse to politics or nudity or simulated drug use. (it's not as edgy as it sounds, tho)
See it if i enjoyed this--elaine may was great.
Don't see it if i was most looking forward to seeing joan allen and lucas hedges, but they seemed to be the weakest links imo
See it if some of the performances were super committed; hats off to the actors. highlights for me were "ruby baby" and "on broadway"
Don't see it if as committed as some of the performances were, others were very uneven/uninspiring. there's no plot. lots of sweat. dated and unfunny humor.
See it if after years of wanting to, i actually did. the moment i left, i wanted to go back again, so i'd say it lived up to the hype.
Don't see it if i got lost many times/missed a lot of the action. i didn't realize it was a dance/movement piece; i wanted more acting. it's so expensive!
See it if this show is a major milestone for the lgbt community. i loved the moment during "mad about you" where the pronouns were changed.
Don't see it if i like the gogos, but their songs don't cut it for a full-length broadway musical. there's way too much filler and fluff with no edge
See it if had a blast. loved the energy and dancing and overall spirit. now even more of a fan of chilina kennedy and john-michael lyles.
Don't see it if it didn't quite all come together in the end for me
See it if this show was kind of perfect. i loved the cast, and the play resonated with me.
Don't see it if from my seat i had a very difficult time seeing the scenes that took place on the second level.
See it if i liked corey stoll? that's about it.
Don't see it if so dull. i thought i liked othello but then i saw this. the casting, design, direction--everything--felt uninspired.
See it if really enjoyed this play overall. it hit on a lot of very relevant issues.
Don't see it if i saw it early in previews, and at that time it probably still needed a little more polishing.
See it if the set was sometimes pretty/shiny. some of the actors were clearly capable.
Don't see it if i'm still angry that i sat through this. i have enjoyed condola rashad in past shows, but her performance in this was so bizarre.
See it if marin ireland and nathan darrow were great. i was happy to see a production of this lesser tennessee williams play.
Don't see it if the set and supporting cast left a bit to be desired.
See it if i enjoyed a lot of the songs and performances (esp. taylor trensch and rachel bay jones)
Don't see it if i don't get the hype, and i have major problems with the story itself.
See it if an excellent premise and a few truly horrifying moments in a very intimate space
Don't see it if does not work overall. the writing/acting/directing felt messy, and i do not understand why there are two intermissions.
See it if better than i expected--intimate and immersive with an immensely talented cast and great direction. plus, the goat!! and the dancing!!
Don't see it if only criticism is with the story itself--i prefer a story more grounded in reality rather than a fable/fairy tale.
See it if incredible performances (esp glenda jackson and laurie metcalf) in a near-perfect production. overall haunting and profound.
Don't see it if the material is very challenging. not for everyone, for sure.
See it if good god i was not prepared for this. eve ensler is truly a living icon who should be celebrated. her work on this piece is extraordinary!
Don't see it if it's a tough sell: a one-woman show about rape and torture in the congo + ovarian cancer. definitely not for the faint of heart.
See it if some cool effects and overall entertaining/magical
Don't see it if i don't understand the casting. the two leads are good, but there were no wow performances and the singing throughout was very weak
See it if i was impressed with the songs and singing and dancing. it feels like a very well done drag show in a bar. high energy and well done!
Don't see it if the story/plot doesn't amount to much. maybe with less alcohol i wouldn't have enjoyed it as much?
See it if Larissa FastHorse rules. I was surprised at how funny this play is! A great send-up of white America and the whitewashing of history.
Don't see it if There are comedic songs and skits interspersed through the play. I enjoyed most--but not all--of them.
See it if i love immersive theatre. it was awesome to see dumbo in a new way. there were moments i really liked. it was unique and mostly fun
Don't see it if overall i didn't take anything away from this story. it was very confusing. some moments were laughable for the wrong reasons.
See it if i was very excited about this show because it clearly has an amazing cast
Don't see it if unfortunately the play itself offers nothing new and was quite forgettable
See it if i loved this very much. i loved the writing, acting, staging--very impactful, rich, and moving. go see it!
Don't see it if it's not perfect. it's not for everyone. some people will hate it. it is a little long and can be confusing as you settle into it.
See it if vitaly is a total nerd with some great tricks up his sleeve; i had a blast, and my mind was blown
Don't see it if some of the illusions were a little too similar to others? might be more at home in vegas rather than ny theatre district
See it if a totally unique experience that i'm grateful to have witnessed; the post-show backstage tour was fascinating!
Don't see it if i lucked out with great seats, but if i hadn't, i fear i would've been a bit bored.
See it if i was very impressed with this little production--and particularly christina toth. i loved the space--very intimate.
Don't see it if i didn't realize at first that the actors were playing many different roles. i applaud max hunter's overall creation, but notsomuch his perf
See it if started off conventional then twisted again and again to become an aggressively confrontational avant-garde masterpiece. i won't forget it.
Don't see it if issues of race make you uncomfortable
See it if i enjoyed shoshana bean's performance
Don't see it if i don't get jason robert brown and especially this musical. one of my least favorite things i've seen.
See it if underrated. even though it's a comedy, there is a reverence and respect shown to the teen subjects (and audiences).
Don't see it if i wish they would cut the joke about eating disorders. also maybe it could be a little shorter.
See it if one of the greatest theatre experiences i've had. beyond worthy of the harry potter name.
Don't see it if it's obviously better if you're a harry potter fan, but it's great for newbies, as well.
See it if a beautiful and innovative production of a great and important play.
Don't see it if i feel strongly that andrew garfield was miscast. his performance felt like a bad impression and frequently took me out of the play.
See it if lauren ridloff's performance was one of the best i've seen. (and joshua jackson deserves a lot more credit than he got!)
Don't see it if criticisms about the play itself are valid. some directorial decisions could've been better.
See it if i was wowed by the singing and dancing. some truly incredible music here...
Don't see it if without any apparent attempt to put a modern spin on this story, it didn't work for me. too dated and problematic.
See it if tfana via arin arbus is perfect for taking on the winter's tale. i esp loved the beautiful all-white set and kelley curran as hermione.
Don't see it if i wish the bohemia parts were as strong as the sicilia parts. i did not care for the actors playing perdita and florizel.
See it if can't get enough of this smart, funny, perfect play!
Don't see it if some might say it's a loaded topic and that the play is intentionally creating controversy, but i would disagree. handled with much care imo
See it if impressed overall; one of the most polished encores i've seen at city center. impressive singing and dancing
Don't see it if for fans of this show, i can imagine this was a godsend. for newbies to the show like me, it was bit dull.
See it if beautifully written and directed and acted and staged and, frankly, devastating. has there ever been a more timely play??
Don't see it if some might say it's exploitative, but i would disagree. if you are too close to the subject matter, then proceed with caution. it's tough.
See it if the talent was undeniable, and the piece overall was fun and immersive and very entertaining. was surprised at the production value!
Don't see it if i wish it had been 90 minutes with no intermission. the second act felt a little long to me. plus, you'll likely be offended. see below:
See it if top notch production of a classic musical--did not disappoint. bernadette was great and kate's "ribbons down my back" was perfect
Don't see it if was excited to see/hear gavin open "put on your sunday clothes" but he was out. not one of my fav musicals despite this great production
