Indulgent, Dated, Ambitious, Great staging, Great acting

See it if You’re a fan of Bryan Cranston. He steals the show and delivers an incredible performance. The staging is fantastic and was seamless

Don't see it if Looking for a current message which was well thought out. The script was a bit all over with most characters ringing hollow except Cranston

Overrated, Relevant, Great acting, Great singing, Clever

See it if If you’re a huge fan of musicals. The cast was perfect and the lead is amazing. It’s a tough topic which requires such attention

Don't see it if You’ve bought into the hype of how amazing the show will be. It’s a solid show, but certainly not the knockout the reviews claim

Quirky, Funny, Entertaining

See it if You are looking something light-hearted or are entertaining family from out of town who are not big into traditional plays.

Don't see it if While you may learn a thing or two about the history of drinking and are made a few cocktails, this is by no means a standard play

Indulgent, Great acting, Entertaining

See it if You’re a fan of Adam Driver or the overindulgent 80’s writing which tried a bit too hard. Some good one liners and out loud laughs

Don't see it if You’re expecting a dynamic performance by Kerri Russell or a modernization of the script. 30 minutes of the play should have been cut out

Ambitious, Must see, Unique

See it if Looking for something out of the ordinardy. Incredibly ambitious play which you can see over and over without having the same experience tw

Don't see it if Looking for a plot line that is easy to follow or makes sense. If you need to be in control or understand what is going on

During previews
Clever, Great acting, Great staging

See it if are a fan of Jeff Daniels, the book, the movie, enjoy dramas with an a large cast, and old style staging with a modern twist

Don't see it if expecting it to be a typical Sorkin work. He did a good job updating, but it is still a difficult story that is pinned to point in time

Absorbing, Great acting, Relevant

See it if Amazing acting from everyone on stage. It’s an important topic that’s not easy to tackle and usually avoided. Snappy dialogue

Don't see it if It takes you down a necessary hole where there was missed opportunity to make a broader point that’s only going to be a more frequent topic

During previews
Entertaining, Great acting, Timely

See it if Enjoy any of the three actors. Everyone did a fantastic job, especially Cherry Jones. She was phenomenal and made it seem effortless.

Don't see it if Small casts without any real action. The topic is an important one and current, but may be a bit nuanced for some viewers

Clever, Great acting, Great staging, Slow, Must see

See it if You are a fan of Glenda. She was insanely powerful. Laurie does not have an opportunity to shine in this role, but does an excellent job

Don't see it if Plays without much action. This is dialogue intensive and tends to ramble in parts

Overrated, Excruciating, Disappointing, Dated, Great acting

See it if You are a enormous fan of Denzel Washington. His performance is phonemical, but not worth sitting through 4 very long hours of depression

Don't see it if This play should have never been remade. Depressing, no real likeable characters, way too long, and dated

Ambitious, Great acting, Intelligent, Absorbing, Entertaining

See it if Incredible acting revolving around a fascinating historical story. A surprisingly snappy script which may go over the heads of some

Don't see it if You don’t like period pieces or large ensemble casts

Enchanting, Entertaining, Great acting

See it if You’re a fan of the franchise. Felt exactly like the movies (which I’m sure this will be one day). A few mind blowing special effects

Don't see it if You’re unfamiliar with Harry Potter. Even being almost six hours, a lot was not explained and could be confusing to someone new

Entertaining, Absorbing, Relevant, Great acting

See it if Are a fan of Annette or Tracy. Both performances were stellar and enough to compensate for the dated script. The story is still relevant

Don't see it if Looking for something uplifting or current. The first act does drag and some characters feel hollow.

Slow, Indulgent, Excruciating, Confusing, Ambitious

See it if No matter how big of a fan of Ben or Renee you are, there is no reason to subject yourself to such torture. Ben's acting/voice were great

Don't see it if Impossible to follow the story, the dictation is very annoying, there are often competing sounds which are irritating. Huge failure

Thought-provoking, Great acting

See it if You’re a fan of Laurie and John. Both are phenomenal and carry the play. It’s a rare opportunity to see two heavyweights together

Don't see it if Looking for an escape or new insight. The script is an odd concept and I’m not sure necessary

Confusing, Disappointing, Indulgent

See it if If you’re a friend of the cast or want to support the local theater

Great acting, Great writing, Intelligent

See it if You enjoy one man shows creatively telling the story of an important American figure. It’s an excellent encapsulation of Lenny’s life

Don't see it if Looking for action and intricate. This is an intimate show expertly told by a powerful performance, but occasionally challenging to follow

During previews
Great acting, Great staging, Overrated

See it if Glenn Close is always a force to reckon and shines regardless of the material she has to work with. If you’re a fan, it’s worth watching

Don't see it if The story and script are a bit lackluster. The intimate and close stage compensate for some of these defencies.

During previews
Funny, Great acting, Quirky, Raunchy, Entertaining

See it if Looking to be entertained for two hours. Idina is a natural for the role. There are fantastic one liners in the play, delivered flawlessly

Don't see it if Uncomfortable with gay themes or looking for profundity. The play borders on raunchy, but keeps you guessing as to what will happen next

During previews
Clever, Intense, Absorbing, Funny, Bitter

See it if You are looking for an incredible ensemble cast. Everyone's performance elevated the movie and put their own spin on it

Don't see it if You are looking for something light hearted. This follows the movie very closely and is depressing, but has plenty of humor to bring levity

Absorbing, Great acting, Epic, Must see, Masterful

See it if Easily the best performances out there by Andrew Garfield and Nathan Lane. Their performances are Tony worthy and make this show a must see

Don't see it if You can't sit still for long time periods. However, the show is show is so absorbing you won't realize that the play is eight hours

During previews
Overrated, Slow, Disappointing

See it if You want to feel as if you’re witnessing a tragic family deal with death. It’s as if you’re in their living room observing, it’s realistic

Don't see it if Don’t enjoy a play with no redeemable characters, three hour plays without a message, or want to be dragged through the depths of despair
