Intense, Clever, Absorbing, Relevant, Thought-provoking

See it if you'd like to see a stream of conscious/dreamlike play questioning our personal responsibilities in today's dark political era.

Don't see it if you do not like obscurity and prefer a linear, traditional play or not interested in political theater.

Charlie's Waiting

Confusing, Disappointing, Thought-provoking, Great acting

See it if you want to see good acting, well written play except the ending about an lgbt relationship and their secrets revealing on their wedding day

Don't see it if you put off by lgbt relationships, dislike open ended dramas. The ending for me was disappointing, it felt like it was lacking.

Thought-provoking, Great writing, Great acting, Relevant, Intense

See it if you want to see how war wounds people without boundaries, not only the veterans but their families and their futures. It is an intense play.

Don't see it if you want to see some happy, light play. It is not an easy piece to watch, yet i highly recommend it. Very good acting and script.

Great singing, Entertaining, Clever, Resonant, Slow

See it if you want to see a unique play with nontraditional stagecraft about a biracial woman in Copenhagen and Harlem in Jazz age.

Don't see it if you like traditional musicals, it is pretty experimental. Great ensemble work. Long play, lasted almost 3 hrs, despite announced 2h15m.

Great singing, Delightful, Great acting

See it if You like to see a Broadway classic. It is a good show for family entertainment with a heartwarming story and wonderful child actors.

Don't see it if You don't like musicals and if you are not particularly fan of children actors/audience and want a show with a little more substance.

Funny, Banal, Cliched, Overrated, Fluffy

See it if you are with a bachelorette party or want to have goofy night and watch a low-key play with raunchy jokes and sexual humor.

Don't see it if you are offended by sexual vulgar humor. and if you don't like audience participation.

See it if you like a one actor show about political, social and cultural aspects of the society we live in through the eyes of 4 different characters.

Don't see it if you are not open minded and/or apolitical and dislike one-man shows in a tiny theater with minimal set design.

Also It is a well written play, gives you insight into different characters... Read more Read less

Great writing, Entertaining, Delightful, Clever, Absorbing

See it if you want to see a play that is hard to describe, so unique yet so powerful, creative, funny, emotional. Just go and see it before it ends.

Don't see it if cannot find any reason not to, yet the experience might be different according to the actor on stage that night.

Relevant, Thought-provoking, Absorbing, Clever, Great acting

See it if you like historical slavery story told in a Brechtian way. The change of the actors from one character to another is fast and good to watch.

Don't see it if you don't want to see a play about racism, or if you expect to see a traditional play/musical with big sets. It is a small theater.

Tongue of a Bird
Midtown W
Great acting, Thought-provoking, Intense

See it if you want to see a deep psychological play full of metaphors about losing a daughter, a mother, losing sanity, possessions. Great acting.

Don't see it if you want to see some light entertainment. It is a small theater with minimal props, and it was freezing inside when i watched the play.

Enchanting, Entertaining, Great staging, Delightful, Epic

See it if You want to experience a classical musical with great staging, costumes, singing, acting, dancing and story. Great production!

Don't see it if You need more mature content, or do not like musicals or Disney. It is a family friendly show, so be prepared to see children in audience.

The Day I Became Black
Absorbing, Relevant, Thought-provoking, Profound, Entertaining

See it if You want to experience what it is like to be bi-racial in today's society through the eyes of bi-racial, talented actor/writer.

Don't see it if You have racial issues (actually you should see it if it is the case!), if you don't like one man shows in small theaters.

Also i really liked the show, it gave me new insights, most of the times wi... Read more Read less

Sleep No More
Must see, Masterful, Great staging, Absorbing, Intense

See it if you like interactive theater, you follow the actors you want in a non-linear way, create your own journey. Something like no other. Intense!

Don't see it if you dislike walking around long periods of time, if you are intimidated by eerie/dark situations, dislike intimate audience interaction.

Also See it especially if you like Macbeth, Kubrick and Hitchcock. It is an... Read more Read less
