Relevant, Cliched script, Strong performances by layan elwazani & cesar rosado

See it if You are scouting for acting talent Layan Elwazani as Yasmina & Cesar Rosado as Abdual "Sam" Samir shine through tons of corny dialogue.

Don't see it if Bad writing drives you up a wall. The script is thick with over used platitudes & bland sterotypes. Read more

Relevant, Masterful, Intense, Absorbing

See it if you love romance and learning about cultures outside of "white America."

Don't see it if your spouse just left you and you have a fear of ugly crying about it in public.

Ambitious, Thought-provoking, Relevant, Absorbing, Great acting

See it if you want insight into the wrenching consequences of the Iraq war, compelling characters, their displacement and hardships as refugees.

Don't see it if you want frivolous fare or don't want to be made think or to feel uncomfortable about how Muslims can be (mis)treated in the US.

Funny, Thought-provoking, Absorbing

See it if You are interested in exploring cultural and religious identity and learning more about the human experience of refugees.

Don't see it if you are looking for a musical or a mindless comedy--this is funny in parts but also sad

Absorbing, Thought-provoking, Relevant, Uneven, Cliched

See it if You can forgive questionable writing ling enough to enjoy two fine performances.

Don't see it if You want something fresh, several better plays tackling similar immigrant / refugee stories have been staged over past years in greater NYC

See it if Very engaging story line with attention to detail i.e. mannerisms of actors from different cultures, influence of society.
