See it if you want to see an intense, fast-paced, imaginative, highly stylized, well-choreographed staging of Burgess' groundbreaking dystopian novel.

Don't see it if you'll be disturbed by the violence & harsh language of the British gangs and the disturbing treatment of the protagonist by the authorities

See it if you like the novel and curious about its staging, enjoy athletic dancing with homoerotic overtones, like bright lighting & loud music

Don't see it if don't like shows like Tap Dogs even with more plot, loud noisy music & dancing, difficult to follow if unfamiliar with source, bright lights

Also If you like very athletic dancing by young men in tight black pants, You'll like this one. The guys are talented, and even the Americans capture the braggadocio of the dangerous lads, but its a bit too stylized to fully appreciate their violence. In fact what the main character endures is more frightening than their violent behavior. The energy is palpable, aided by ever-changing bright lighting and pulsating music. See it if you’d enjoy excellent performances, and the play’s relevance to today’s loss of societal humanity and the search to regain it.

Don't see it if you would be upset by the pointless cruelty of the characters, or you need a lovable protagonist. Every character here is deeply troubled.

See it if you are familiar with the book, or at least the movie, and would like to see a highly stylized, high octane, intense version.

Don't see it if you have not done your reading assignment. Without understanding of the original work, it is hard to follow the story and social relevance.

See it if everything I wrote above is cool w/you. If you know the movie or book you'll appreciate how the violence is toned-down, freeing the message.

Don't see it if you don't study & prepare. Only a fool will miss these guys go at it intensely, physically, verbally, musically AND erotically for 90min.

Also Hands-down, Jonno Davies ("Alex") ROCKS and steals the show.

Jonno's brooding intensity and commitment is supreme. Unfortunately (as if such a thing would be unfortunate or a burden to bare), my problem with his "Alex" is that Jonno's so butch-pretty, and his build is so amazing, that he's completely utterly totally 100% distracting from anything else that's going on on-stage. Thankfully he has the chops (pun intended), charisma, and commitment to embody the lead. Even when he's just breathing or gasping for air, he's giving everything he's got.

That being said, the quirky, offbeat, edgy Sean Patrick Higgins ("Dim")... whose crazy, empty-headed stare is SICK... would make a really interesting "Alex".

Please do not see this show without doing some research. Otherwise you ain't gonna get it, and you'll be pissed. You will not understand the language spoken, nor will you be able to appreciate what's been done (it's very stylized) to make the movie work as a live staged-show.... Read more Read less

See it if You want to see this story told in a new, inventive way. The music choices and choreography were effective.

Don't see it if You are expecting the intensity of the movie. I found this version less disturbing which may not satisfy fans of the movie.

Also The physicality of all the actors, but especially that of Jonno Davies, is AMAZING. When the major plot points of the story were captured, I didn't find it as disturbing as I did the movie. I am not sure if this is good or bad. It is good in that it could make it more accessible, but cult followers of the movie may find it sanitized. I saw the movie and liked it enough, but not a die hard fan. Therefore, I enjoyed this version and appreciated the fine and physical performances delivered by all. See it if You like edgy, provocative shows, with adult subject matter. The choreography was astonishing. I’ve never seen a show quite like it.

Don't see it if You’re put off by even implied violence, are easily confused (every actor except the lead plays multiple characters), or want a lighter show

See it if you are familiar with the book or movie. If not familiar with it, you maybe lost and shocked on the content of the show. Cast is great!

Don't see it if you don't like violent situations played out on stage. If you don't have an open mind stay home.

Also The cast was amazing. Choreography was worth seeing the show. The all male cast through me off a bit from remembering the movie years ago. The beginning with the made up language can be very confusing. See it if you want to see 10 gorgeous, fit men dancing and putting their all into the show.

Don't see it if you expect a faithful interpretation of the film. This is not. It is dance-y and somewhat jumbled. Hard to understand if you don't know film

See it if you have an open mind and can take loud, wildly stylized scenes of sex and violence.

Don't see it if you want realistic and happy "safe place" theatre.

Also I believe in "Audience Responsibility". That is to say, that the choice to see certain shows precludes your right to complain of certain things. You can't CHOOSE to see A Clockwork Orange and then complain about the portrayal of sex and violence. It's what the show is about!
Jonno Davies's Alex DeLarge is an edgy, stylistic interpretation. It is LOUD and brash.
Unfortunately, between the faux language and the volume the cast delivers, a lot of dialogue is lost. Relying on knowledge of the source material is not something you can ask of all the audience. Each medium has to be considered as its own entity.
There is a lot of muscle. Mostly abs. This one is eye candy for the ladies. The dance of violence is a 2017 variation of West Side Story's dancing gang wars but with techno music. Loud techno music.
Needless to say, like the movie and book, A Clockwork Orange isn't for everyone. You'll find that it is a drastic departure from traditional theatre.... Read more Read less

See it if you are gay or a woman that wants to see good looking half naked men, and also you like the story.

Don't see it if you are expecting a Kubriesque adaptation with a sci fi retro look or great music.

Also "A Clockwork Orange" isn't the best play ever, but just because it is "A Clockwork Orange" it is a cool Friday night plan. There is so much to improve in this play, like the music. See it if you enjoy stylish visuals. The movements and colors are a pleaser. The show means to challenge and shock, but it is thought-provoking too.

Don't see it if you have a strong aversion towards violent and disturbing content. It is also intensily palyed, and might be unpleasant to some.

See it if Sexy Shakesperean and intense just the way clockwork should be. Jonno Davies is a new star. Go see it

See it if You like very fit actors and don't need to understand what they are saying.

Don't see it if You want to be able to follow the story. The acting was fine. Perhaps it was bad directing? It was just so confusing!

See it if You want to be fully indulged in a great story that makes you think. Beautiful staging, choreography and movement. Jonno Davis is incredible

Don't see it if Homophobia turns you off. Cannot handle one act plays with a lot of story all at once.

See it if you want to see "experimental theater" and something out of the box

Don't see it if you are looking for linear story telling and don't like thick English accents

Also This is a very ambitious show. If you know the original movie and book it is very violent. The show takes that a very different way through choreography. I myself was glad they tried to do it in a new way that wasn't gory like "1984" did this past season. At times it is difficult to understand what is being said but for the most part you get used to it. The staging is interesting and inventive, the acting, especially from Jonno Davies, is intense and well crafted, but overall it seems to fall flat. It just doesn't seem to have the same impact as the original story or film has. At times it felt a little bit "West Side Story" ish, and maybe thats why it looses it's impact?! See it if You like experimental theatre and the world Burgess creates.

Don't see it if You are triggered by violence or aren't willing to open your mind to new and unique theatre.

See it if you want to see great acting by JONNO DAVIES who played Alex DeLarge He is what makes it worth seeing

Don't see it if you want more than just one bright light in a mismash otherwise

See it if you enjoy dynamic plays with absorbing dancing that is an integral part of the drama

Don't see it if you would be put off by the stylized violence and sex that are at the core of this drama.

See it if If you are a fan of the book, like strong performances & physicality

Don't see it if You don't like violence on stage.

See it if Quite provocative with plenty of skin exposure. Acting from the main lead, Jonno, is just pure power - very very intense and dynamic

Don't see it if You are expecting the story to be told with any restraint. This is raw, relentless, and almost campy

See it if you were able to stomach 1984... this was a slightly less intense feeling...

Don't see it if you don't like gritty, in your face kind of theatre...

See it if You enjoy dark and dystopic stories, great direction, movement is precise and dynamic. Jonno Davies is great as Alex.

Don't see it if The all male cast suggests themes that are not inherent in the text. Don't see if violence and the 'eggy wegg' language are not your thing.
