About the show

This new meta-theatrical musical-comedy epic celebrates the magic, the fandom, and the legacy of all things "Star Wars." More…

From the show:

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away…a Staten Island Blockbuster Video to be exact…

Two Star Wars fanatics, Scott and Taylor, write the most epic musical tribute to the force EVER! On their endless quest to perform it at Comic Con - a restraining order, that we won't mention, stands in their way - they have opted to perform it on the glamorous off-broadway stages instead. However, dark forces are looming over their production, and her name is Emily.

"Do Scott and Taylor prevail? Does the show make it to Comic Con? The answers are less important than the good time you'll have getting there...May the FUN be with you!"

Great singing, Excruciating, Dizzying, Disappointing, Confusing

See it if you are obsessed with the Star Wars series of films, know all the chatracters and dialog in each, and don’t mind sophomoric rambling banter

Don't see it if you prefer insightful or emotion-evoking dramatic or musical writing, memorable tunes, analysis of the metaphors and message of Star Wars

Also Unless you are a Millennial or Gen Z, this show is at best incomprehen... Read more Read less

Banal, Pointless, Excruciating, Insipid

See it if Some hardcore SW fans seemed to like parts (I have seen the Empire Strikes Back about 20 times) but I don't know why anyone would enjoy this

Don't see it if No matter how big a Star Wars fan you are don't go, It is not a parody of Star Wars - it's a pointless irritating story about two SW geeks

Disappointing, Indulgent, Fluffy, Excruciating

See it if You are a die-hard Star Wars fan who eats drinks and breathes Star Wars. Even then be cautioned, you might be disappointed anyway.

Don't see it if You want quality staging, acting, singing etc. Very amateurish production which I found very difficult sitting through.

Also Many youngsters in the audience. Next time leave them home. The humor ... Read more Read less

Don't see it if well, its pretty bad

Disappointing, Cliched, Insipid, Excruciating, Banal

See it if you enjoy uninspired regurgitation of lines and trivia from Star Wars plus amateur knock-off songs.

Don't see it if you seek intelligent parody, any semblance of plot, or anything above high school level theatrics. This show is offensively unfunny.

Also A public high school would be ashamed to have this show in its theater... Read more Read less

See it if See it If you only have two hours left to live because it will feel like an eternity.

Don't see it if Don't see it if you are a human being and enjoy good acting, comedy, music, or talent. This show possesses none of those things.

Ambitious, Funny, Slow, Overrated, Cliched

See it if If you really like Star Wars and enjoy referential humor most of the jokes were the characters quoting the movies to each other.

Don't see it if Lots of cringe humor and cheesy melodramatic humor. Hard to tell if they are acting bad for humor or if it is part of the show

During previews

See it if the production was good but....

Don't see it if really dumb, thought my kid would enjoy it, but he even thought it was "stupid"

Score: 85%. "Written by Elizabeth Ann Foster From the moment you turn into an alcove and enter St. Luke's theatre it is fun. Fellow theatre goers are dressed in Star Wars gear including the iconic Princess Leia hair style. It felt like you were at a private party. Last time I was at St. Luke's Th...

for a previous production "The set-up is admittedly rather silly, but in a format reminiscent of a 1970s variety show, the frame allows for some clever songs (by Billy Reece) and sketches. The best are those that merge Broadway musical kitsch with 'Star Wars' in-jokes...Not everything in the show works, and a whiff of ted...

for a previous production “For ‘Star Wars’ fans who liked the music in the cantina scene and need a fix until the next movie is out...The story moves along at a pretty quick pace under the direction of Michael and Tom D’Angora, although I would have been okay with trimming the characters' backstories. And Billy Recce has ...
