About the show

The Players Theatre presents the New York debut of this song cycle conceived by Jaime Lozano as a tribute to the women in his life. More…

Inspired by his upbringing in a strong matriarchy, Lozano and nine female lyricists wrote songs that explore the unique challenges women face in society today on the journey to find happiness, love, and meaning in their lives. The themes of acceptance, hope, and friendship are universal reminders that no matter who we are or where we come from, our lives are all connected through the shared experience of womanhood.

Disappointing, Clever, Entertaining, Ambitious, Cliched

See it if You love musicals

Don't see it if Terrible weak singing, terrible one-dimensional acting, under-rehearsed, don't feel any empathy for the characters. Such a horrible show!

Banal, Cliched, Disappointing, Excruciating, Insipid

Don't see it if you want a relevant, non-cliched, entertaining show.

Disappointing, Excruciating, Horrible, Must miss

See it if You want to sit through the equivalent of a bad high school talent show. Enthusiastic performers, but mediocre performances.

Don't see it if You want to see a professional production. Also, if you're looking for dialogue or a plot this isn't the show for you.

Also It's excruciatingly bad. The keyboard player needs some finesse and to... Read more Read less

"A thrilling song cycle...Four gifted women sing the songs...The loose thread that ties together the songs in this cycle are women and their struggles - with men, with body image, with weight, with looks, with relationships, with hope for the future...My only complaint was that the amplification ...
