Midnight Theatricals presents the world premiere of this drama that explores the complexities of polyamory. More…
Josh and Alex, a married couple in an open relationship, invite Darius to share their bed one night. When a new intimate connection begins to form, all three men must come to terms with their individual definitions of love, loyalty, and trust as futures are questioned, relationships are shaken, and commitments are challenged.
See it if some good acting, some not. An okay story with very good staging. If you like a story about polygamy and nudity.
Don't see it if If you do not like nudity or stories about polygamy or the New York City scene.
See it if you'd enjoy a somewhat superficial story about a gay threesome with much nudity and little depth, pleasing actors creating believable roles
Don't see it if you expect an in depth look at the many factors that impact a gay threesome, are uncomfortable with extensive full frontal nudity,
See it if three men engage graphically in a polyamorous relationship in bed, in bath, and beyond.Trimmed from a traditional two-act to now a speedy 1.
Don't see it if nudies, nudies, nudies!
See it if you're looking for a new play that tackles modern gay relationship issues. It's a commendable effort but the writing/dialogue is not strong.
Don't see it if you're bothered by frank depictions of nudity, or if you're expecting a happy ending. I was kind of depressed by the end of the show.
See it if you might enjoy a gay drama with tons of nudity, blatant sexuality, and challenging questions about monogamy, promiscuity, and relationships
Don't see it if you find male nudity, simulated sex, and graphic talk vulgar, have little patience for a soap opera-like plot, and have no interest in gays.
See it if You are titillated by the naked male form. Or, in this case, 3 naked male forms as they work out their problems being a throuple, ad nauseam
Don't see it if You expect anything relevant or believable about marriage between two people who are committed to each other.
See it if You want to see sex scenes that are irrelevant and seem extremely unnatural. If felt forced and overacted and super awkward. Like bad acting
Don't see it if You want good acting. You want a good script.
See it if You are ok with male nudity and simulated sexual activity. This is not for the faint of heart and has a definite audience base.
Don't see it if You have issues with seeing male nudity and sexual activity between men.
See it if u r in a gay polyamorous relationship/ want gratuitous male nudity. Some thoughtful insight, decent enough acting that didn't compel overall
Don't see it if you're put off by indulgent gay themes/ soap opera drama/ a loud vent system. Again, some quality material that couldn't justify it all
See it if you want to a Lifetime movie like play that doesn't deliver on its promise of being a progressive look at open relationships.
Don't see it if you want a script that challenges audiences, your offended by male nudity, or you want characters that are not cliches.
See it if you like discussion-starting plays about gay relationships and open relationships or want a good dose of full male nudity in a small theatre
Don't see it if you expect the play to fully explore a complicated topic in a thorough, multi-dimensional manner or if you find lots of nudity gimmicky.
See it if you're curious how open relationships start and work... or don't work. Or go if you're in the mood for good old-fashioned all-male nudity.
Don't see it if stereotypical NYC gay open relationships or nudity offends you.
See it if male nudity trumps a good script and three nude men are enough of a reason to see a show.
Don't see it if male nudity freaks you out or you expect good writing and a serious look into polyamory and the issues around it.
See it if good actors but boring - dated - script. Actors being naked didn't help!
Don't see it if good actors but boring - dated - script. Actors being naked didn't help!
See it if you enjoy a gay drama with lots of male nudity which attempts to tackle the exploration of different types of relationships.
Don't see it if you don't enjoy nudity & sexuality, especially between men. A somewhat over indulging cliched plot.
Also I must mention the staging/setting was very clever.
See it if You're naive when it comes to the topics of polyamory and gay relationships and want some experience in a unique way
Don't see it if You're not ok with rather strong full frontal nudity, want realistic dialogue, and want a natural turn of events in terms of plotting.
