Absorbing, Entertaining, Great acting, Edgy, Intense

See it if you're interested in the different ways people express and work through their trauma, you want to see some grade-A acting across the board.

Don't see it if onstage sex acts bother you, if you are turned off by 12-step programs, you don't like to listen to a lot of talking about hard stuff

Also I REALLY enjoyed this one, up until the very, very end. I thought the ... Read more Read less

Intense, Thought-provoking, Great acting, Imperfect

See it if You know the luminous actress, Marin Ireland or like stories about broken people trying to mend — in this case in a half-way house.

Don't see it if Plays that are too fast-paced AND heavily accented stress you stress you.

I've had a more enjoyable time getting a root canal

See it if new to the work of Marin Ireland and Abby Rosebrock's writing I learned a lot from both, knowledge is power and so is cash in the pocket.

Don't see it if expectation is for a comedy, or a drama with a life changing message, it's 2 hrs. that seemed like 75 years. The Theatre's cold too

Also I truly loathed this play. I think it's after life will be classrooms ... Read more Read less

See it if you'd enjoy an in depth look at damaged people in recovery, and their group dynamics. Good acting.

Don't see it if you need clarity developed characters. Some key scenes come out of no where with no understanding of the character's motivation.

Banal, Disappointing

See it if I wish I could say something good. Let's put it this way- a mediocre school play.

Don't see it if I fell asleep, I woke up and the play was not yet over- 2.5hrs with intermission.

Absorbing, Entertaining, Great acting

See it if You want a well-directed traditional ensemble dramedy with great acting. The play doesn't reinvent theatre, but is well-crafted.

Don't see it if You're expecting The Brady Bunch.

See it if You enjoy great acting. This is a character piece about varying addictions. It becomes very intense. A slow build, dark, but often funny.

Don't see it if You want a traditional show. If the intensity of certain issues are triggers for you. if you need answers to everything.

Also This play took its time getting to the conflict. For those who study p... Read more Read less

See it if You like any of the actors. Although it's not enjoyable watching them wade through this play. Unbearable, I left before it ended.

Don't see it if You like a tight, well written play, u won't find that here. You don't want to squirm in your seat waiting for it to get better. It won't!

Also Wish I'd read these reviews before buying ticket. Even the "mixed" (an... Read more Read less

"Ms. Ireland pours such mesmerizing energy and inventiveness into Alison’s wrecking-ball antics that you almost forget that this charming, dangerous woman doesn’t quite track as a credibly motivated character. And as the show’s tone veers from anxious comedy into psychodrama, with each of the cha...

"Under the diffuse staging of Magar, the actors attempt to make the most of their poorly defined characters. Their herculean efforts mainly go for naught, although Beltran brings a swaggering charm and Ireland is superb as the clearly damaged Alison. The actress delivers a riveting, emotionally i...
