Entertaining, Clever, Ambitious, Great acting, Great staging

Disappointing, Confusing, Cliched, Ambitious

See it if Like disjointed frenetic paced nostalgic visit through 1945-1969. Possibly better if you are involved with Canadian hockey and issues

Don't see it if Prefer insight or get confused by rapid changes of accents. Prefer longer sections of key songs of time and not in costumes that seem parody

Ambitious, Great staging, Quirky, Disappointing, Clever

See it if you don't mind being asked to sing along to American Pie. You like impersonations. As a love letter to RM's mother, this is rather sweet.

Don't see it if you have no interest the the Baby Boomers. The piece is too long and needs cutting. A letdown after MacHomer.

Disappointing, Dated, Cliched, Ambitious

See it if you cut history class, haven’t read a newspaper & need to know what’s been happening in the world for the last 80 years. Interesting staging

Don't see it if you’re expecting a musical representing the last 80 year’s. The singer tries hard to imitate the great Pop singets, but rarely succeeds.

Overrated, Indulgent, Confusing, Ambitious, Entertaining

See it if You want a very superficial be man show with a talented leading man.

Don't see it if You want a coherent well edited show.

Disappointing, Ambitious

See it if You like 1 man shows with a multitude of different personas portrayed and multi-dimensional with video, dialogue and music.

Don't see it if You like an ensemble cast or don’t want to hear the performers take of his parents views of the baby boomer generation.

Also I thought the actor was quite clever in utilizing video, a number of c... Read more Read less

Insipid, Disappointing

See it if you'd like a tuneful walk down memory lane, complete with a bit of acting, decent singing, a bit of family (the actor's) history/nostalgia.

Don't see it if you prefer excellent acting and singing, "plot" more than shallow and banal, offering some creativity and insight.

Overrated, Indulgent, Funny, Disappointing, Cliched

See it if The writer/actor/director is ambitious. If you want a history lesson, this is the show for you!

Don't see it if you want serious theater that evokes feelings

Slow, Fluffy, Cliched, Quirky, Ambitious

See it if you are a baby boomer

Don't see it if you expect more than a quicky, personal summary that cannot help but be reductive.

Cliched, Ambitious

See it if The songs bring back memories. The idea for the show is a good one and the solo performer seems to have the time of his life.

Don't see it if A little hackneyed. His history not always on the button. Too borscht belt for my taste.

Artistic emergency requires life support, Multimedia mishmash, Not what it’s billed to be, Flakey canadian cultural panorama

See it if You want to see a one-man team (not especially musical) take cynical cultural & political potshots at entire generation, its parents & kids.

Don't see it if You expect a set of 50s & 60s songs. Talented actor has good voice but is more insubstantial mimic than theatrical master. Dreadful panache.

Also This show is a complete mess.... Read more Read less

See it if You want to see a talented actor doing impressions.

Don't see it if I really wanted to like this show (I'm a big fan of impressions) but it is slow and lacks heart - comes off too much like a school project.

During previews
Great acting, Talented performer who was trying to mix together too much info, Confusing

See it if Received low grades for your historical project(even many years ago)and still want to fix it;can follow family line mixed with famous events

Don't see it if Want something that looks like a show, prefer more music and do not care about author's relatives(their stories were interesting)

Nostalgic survey of the baby boomer era, Excellent use of multi-media, Great acting, Disappointing, Entertaining

See it if Bravura performance of snippets from the 50s 60s & 70s with a Canadian slant. Told in the voices of his mom & uncle, who lived thru it.

Don't see it if ... you've had enough of nostalgic recollections of the baby boomer era. His next show will be about GenXers, then a third for GenYZ.

During previews
Slow, Indulgent, Disappointing, Banal

See it if if you know little about the history of the 40's across the 60's through the view of a Canadian.

Don't see it if If you expect to see a show in which there is a reason to have the show.

Also This show is like a mandated high school history project with gratuito... Read more Read less

See it if find some visual effects interesting,

Don't see it if you don't like gloomy setting, repetition is annoying to you, you are easily bored.

Also The nostalgia angle is interesting but the execution takes away from i... Read more Read less
