Ambitious, Clever, Great acting, Quirky, Confusing

See it if You like small-cast shows with complicated characters. You are interested in exploring themes of introspection, loss and disappointment.

Don't see it if You don't like overly talky works. You can't tolerate a (mostly solid) script that doesn't know if it's a comedy or a drama. Read more

Ambitious, Funny, Slow, Great acting, Quirky

See it if you've like Gionfriddo's past work, enjoy quirky characters including a great turn by Amber Tamblyn, as well as thoughts on women and money

Don't see it if you want to be gripped immediately by a play, have no patience with odd characters, can't stand excessive stage yelling and tantrums

Clever, Great acting, Intelligent, Problematic script, Uncertain tone

See it if you like Gina Gionfriddo's writing. Her usual wit and gimlet eye on contemporary social mores are in evidence here, despite uncertain tone

Don't see it if you aren't prepared to overlook some less than believable situations and a production that veers between the farcical and heartfelt

Entertaining, Funny, Great acting, Fluffy, Hollow

See it if want some good laughs--it's more of a dramedy than a comedy. Amber Tamblyn is great. Excellent cast, and I enjoyed it, but no substance

Don't see it if want deep meaning or a ton of laughs. It really walks the line between drama and comedy

Ambitious, Disappointing, Intelligent, Slow, Relevant

See it if Gionfriddo's take on modern women's economic/sexual choices loosely based on Trollope novel Teaming with ideas yet nothing seems to cohere

Don't see it if Overly long & slow build up hinders early compassion for characters; sluggish direction by DuBois Action picks up with Frank Wood's entrance

Indulgent, Confusing, Entertaining, Some good one-liners, Has it's moments

See it if You like the "hot mess" trope. You want to see great turn by Frank Wood. You like funny one-liners.

Don't see it if You want coherent character motivations: it was hard to figure out why they continued to stay in the situation.

Relevant, Resonant, Quirky

See it if you're interested in a modern work that deals with people digging out of debt in unconventional ways

Don't see it if you're looking for a masterful piece of work. It was good and entertaining but not a must see.

Ambitious, Confusing, Entertaining, Thought-provoking, Slow

See it if you're game to mull challenges we face when trying to start over and pursuing second chances; committed cast and great turn by Amber Tamblyn

Don't see it if you want something light; you're sensitive to parental loss; you're easily irritated by scenario of being stuck or lacking self-awareness
