Funny, Sweet, Honest, Great writing, Resonant

See it if you want to hear a smart, funny comedian talk about his life and depression for a little under 2 hours. It's a great night out.

Don't see it if You can't find the humor in mental illness and depression. Also, if you sit in the first row, he may make eye contact or engage with you. Read more

Touching and funny, in equal measure., Tough subject, movingly explored, Absorbing, but a bit too long., Thoughtful and well-written., A different kind of stand up act.

See it if You like standup and find quirky, nerdy personalities appealing. Chris handles his personal demons with charm and grace. It's absorbing.

Don't see it if You would find the subject matter too triggering/depressing. Not for everyone-some walked out. Some parts are uncomfortable or squirmy.

Absorbing, Funny, Entertaining

See it if You enjoy plays about the human condition. Especially plays dealing with psychology and addiction and mental health told in a humorous way.

Don't see it if You don't like heavy topics like addiction and suicide told in a humorous slant.

Thought-provoking, Entertaining, Clever, Quirky, Funny

See it if you're interested in solo work, the very funny, smart Chris Gethard, or the fine line between "theatre" and standup comedy.

Don't see it if you want something uniquely theatrical. This is standup with enough confession and self-reflection to warrant a theatre and some light cues.
