Christmas in Hell

See it if you love Christmas and off-colored humor. You need to be willing to not think to much into the plot and just laugh.

Don't see it if you are looking for a good musical. It was very disappointing and the jokes were not smart. Would not suggest for a serous theatergoer.

See it if Can't think of much here. Enjoy very bland theater.

Don't see it if You enjoy good acting, writing, or production value.

See it if You want to see a weird new musical with some really funny bits, or you just want to support the York

Don't see it if You don't want to sit through 2 and a half hours of jokes stretched into four-minute musical numbers. You're not a fan of God/Satan on stage

Also The show aims to be a "surprisingly touching musical comedy," but it fails at all of that. It takes a funny joke and beats it into the ground; its last half hour is so saccharine it's nauseating. See it if There are a couple good singers and funny/good songs and one really funny song

Don't see it if You want a fully polished professional and tight show. This seemed like it still needed a lot of work.

See it if musicals in a small setting are your thing

Don't see it if you're wanting a show with the quality of "Desperate Measures".

Also We were very disappointed in this show. We enjoy lots of "York Theatre" productions.

The plot was one of these "this happened and then this happened and then this happened".

There was a scene in a hospital and the staff all started singing and dancing that they took selfie with Charles Manson. What? Why?

And it was trivial stuff like an empty lot at 15 Walnut St had a Starbucks on each side at 14 and 16. Those are even numbers and would have been on the other side of the street. I mention this only because it didn't feel like this show was workshopped or stage read.
