Dated, Cliched, Banal, Slow

See it if you're a die-hard Inge fan

Don't see it if you want a production that is NOT highly stylized--some good actors were very bad, under the director's notion of how to present this show

Uncomfortable seating/venue, Intense, Resonant, Great writing

See it if you enjoy a powerful look into common mindsets in 1950's America

Don't see it if you also are seeing Picnic and expect great variety from all the actors

Banal, Slow, Great acting, Insipid

See it if You like melodrama with actors that are good enough to skirt it. A dated play very oddly staged, not audience-friendly.

Don't see it if You need to see all of the stage or playing space or don't like period pieces.

Inge binge

See it if you missed Bway revival. Leads live their roles. Great supporting work. Excellent set uses large playing area. No notes are missed.

Don't see it if Tickets expensive for shows in area. Cost is no picnic. Read more
