About the show

Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actor Peter Dinklage ("Game of Thrones") stars in this new musical version of the classic tale of unrequited love and ghostwritten letters. More…

From the show:

A raw and transporting new version of the classic tale of unrequited love and ghostwritten letters, Cyrano tells the story of a proud man who, believing himself unlovable, agrees to woo the woman he loves for another. With a charged contemporary immediacy to the language, this adaptation by Erica Schmidt (All the Fine Boys) mines this enduring, human story for its deep vein of heartbroken yearning, with haunting and compelling music by members of the Grammy Award-winning band The National and the Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actor Peter Dinklage in the title role.

Dreadful musical adaptation of a beautiful play, Slow, Disappointing

See it if you have no ear for music or poetry and have never read or seen a worthy production of this exquisite play about poetry, romance and loss

Don't see it if you love theater and its magic. There is none here. A waste of a great talent in Dinklage who does what he can with nothing and no one

Lackluster music, Slow, Great staging, Disappointing

See it if you love Peter Dinklage. You won't be disappointed- he's wonderful.

Don't see it if you want the music to be good, catchy, or interesting.

49
Slow, Disappointing, Cliched

See it if You would enjoy Dinklage's witty and intriguing take on a lovelorn Cyrano.

Don't see it if you enjoy a musical journey that feels necessary. The piece suffered horribly because of a slow and anticlimactic plot point and sad music.

Overrated, Excruciating, Insipid, Cliched, Banal

See it if You want to see Mr. Dinklage, in-person . . . . giving it his all, in an attempt to compensate for all the mistakes and make this play work.

Don't see it if You seek a theatre experience that has the actors, staging, costumes, and music cohesively combined.

Also The costuming was on the level of a low budget, high-school production... Read more Read less

Cheesy set design, Slow, Disappointing

See it if ...you're wondering what New Jersey native Peter Dinklage is up to after G.O.T.

Don't see it if ...you have limited disposal income for B'way and Off-B'way theater.

3/5 Stars "It’s hard to fall in love with this confounding production...Schmidt has excised all the poetry...Most of the full-fledged numbers stop the show dead in its tracks...Yet Dinklage makes you care...Schmidt has elicited a captivating performance from this wonderfully expressive actor."
