See it if you can overlook a silly premise and find a show that actually has a lot of heart and some decent songs behind it

Don't see it if you want your emojis to stay in your phone.

See it if as fun, fluffy, visually entertaining musical w/ great singing, exuberant young cast (occasionally hard to make out lyrics) & timely topic.

Don't see it if you need a meaty story line—this is about having fun, belting out ballads happy & sad, none-too-deep thoughts about tech & press to conform.

See it if you want to see a bunch of Broadway stars in a silly musical that doesn't make you think much. Great performances all around.

Don't see it if you want to see a show with a serious plot. Lesli Margherita is not in the show enough. She is brilliant and underutilized.

See it if you want to see a fun, light hearted, endearing show. If you want to have fun & are quick on pun. To just get away from real life.

Don't see it if You want drama, seriousness, and reality. This is NOT it. If you don't like fun, quirky shows. You don't know what an Emoji is.

See it if you want an evening of pure fun with a talented cast, great songs, great voices, never a dull moment

Don't see it if you don't like musicals or you only enjoy traditional musicals

See it if You're a fan of the cast and want the opportunity to see them on an Off-Broadway stage. Lesli Margherita is the standout as usual.

Don't see it if You're expecting a perfect musical. There are good elements here but wayyyy too many. Several characters should be cut to make it 90 mins.

See it if you know what you are walking into. This is not a show for everyone. This is like Be More Chill. Read the more to say for info.

Don't see it if you are not into technology or texting with emoji's.

Also The first 10 minutes were all over the place and confusing, and I was like I am going to hate the show, but as time went on it grew on me.. I sort of started enjoying some of the characters and looking forward to seeing more of them. The show is a bit long, and it has some parts I think they can cut down, but overall I enjoyed it. The show is not for everyone, I am in tech and use emojis throughout my life, but the show at times tries to be too serious compared to the overall theme. Some of the Solo songs are amazing, but just doesn't fit in more of a comedy type show. Even though I found the singer amazing, I started to drift since there was not much interaction from the stage. The Princess was an amazing character, who I have seen in other shows, and seeing this just for her is worth it. See it if A great cast with tons of energy singing a fantastic score. Sets and Lighting are fantastic. A truly delightful fun evening

See it if you want cleverly themed, costumed entertainment addressing some of relevant issues. Music was enjoyable and the cast was just fabulous!

Don't see it if you don’t understand emojis, flashing, strobe lights and dizzying stage.

See it if You like upbeat musicals. Follows a traditional arc but content fresh to the smart phone age. Well staged.

Don't see it if You want a deep show or serious brain food. It’s pure fun with very talented cast.

See it if you enjoyed Be More Chill or enjoy the talents of the AMAZING cast. You love cute and cuddly characters and beautiful production values.

Don't see it if you disliked Be More Chill as being campy and boring, you don't like non-human characters or don't want to have a good time.

Also Emojiland is a wonderful show for kids and tweens with so much to enjoy for the adults. A cross between Be More Chill and the movie, Inside Out Emojiland is fun, funny and fantastic. Lesli Magherita (Princess), Josh Lamon (Prince) and George Abud (Nerd Face) steal the show, while Laura Schein (Smize) and Lucas Steel (Skull) steal your heart. It is bright, colorful and bouncy with great music, dancing and production value. An all-in-all WOW of a night of theatre. The plot is simple; telephone emojis just living their lives, looking for love and otherwise interacting in the smart phone they call home, all amidst catchy songs, some impressive dance steps and VERY colorful costumes. It's a message wrapped in colorful paper, that's so much fun to unwrap, and also features a great story of redemption that would make Darth Vader proud. Also Stunned that 99% of the audience is under thirty, recent Sesame Street graduates. I felt uncomfortable in this barely adult romper room. How can they even afford it? It must have been comped and discounted to death on a Tuesday, the first show of its extension. As for the show, I loved the hot ladies Princess, Smize and Kissy. They made this long winded cartoon worth the sit. Smize co-wrote it and has excellent songs! Four new cast members. Ann Harada left her tiny Poo role, which is truly not worth crap. Plenty of merchandise on sale. Excellent cash cow. Very predictable book. Awful seats that are in a default upright position. I was second row side, third row center for Act II. Don't see it if you want a complex plot. The story is fun but completely predictable.

See it if If U braved the EMOJI movie w/ your kids, then know that EMOJILAND is NOTHING like that movie & not kiddie-material either. Techno-dialogue.

Don't see it if Skip if U don't like zany, wacky characters & prefer your emoticons more realistically portrayed- Really? Tho some of them do get emotional

Also First act is over an hour (so far, saw this in Previews), so hit the bathroom before entering the theater. Plus the toilets are bit on the small side at THE DUKE. They use lasers in the show but mostly pointing up if that's a concern. Music is LOUD throughout so U don't need a hearing device. Other wise an extremely well-cast show with long-time veterans like Queen Lesli, Ann Harada (1-2nd act-song), Max Crumm, Josh Lamon, & Felicia Boswell knocks the walls down with her power-vocals. One note on the stage, it is VERY close to the first 5 rows so if U don't like fierce actors staring deeply in your eyes U might want to get seats beyond the 7th row. Also This show was just fun. The idea was clever - about the emoji's in your phone. The songs were good and the singing was spectacular. The costumes and wigs made every character that more sharp. the visual effects and lighting were super.
