Not to be confused with, and very much unlike The Emoji Movie, Emojiland is an electric ensemble piece about a diverse community of archetypes who take one another at face value: a smiling face dealing with depression; a princess who doesn’t want a prince; a skull dying for deletion; a nerd face too smart for his own good; a face with sunglasses who can’t see past his own reflection; and a police officer and construction worker who just want to work together. When a software update threatens to destroy life as they know it, Emojiland faces the most fundamental questions a society – and a heart – can face: Who are we? And who matters?

See it if you enjoy an ensemble piece that has a bit more under the surface than expected.

Don't see it if you don't have an open mind. I expected to not understand much because I am not an emoji user but the cast portrayals and story is universal

See it if you suspend disbelief to follow the adventures of broadly drawn characters (each is defined by their emoji, after all) in a silly, fun show.

Liked it so much more than i expected, Very contemporary yet a classic love story, Some terrific singing and comedic timing, Great costumes, props, lighting, Creative, fresh, fun & funny

See it if Want a light, fun, digitally-based Musical comedy. Get a kick out of sight gags/wordplay. A classic romcom updated and set in a smart phone!

Don't see it if Need seriousness or are easily offended by sophomoric humor.

See it if You're a fan of the cast and want the opportunity to see them on an Off-Broadway stage. Lesli Margherita is the standout as usual.

Don't see it if You're expecting a perfect musical. There are good elements here but wayyyy too many. Several characters should be cut to make it 90 mins.
