Mindless entertainment, Great singing, Hardworking actors, Needs a better script/lyrics, Very loud

See it if you were a fan of the show; you'll get a kick out of the in-jokes. You'll also enjoy strong, energetic performances. Some laughs/good songs.

Don't see it if you expect consistent cleverness. Many lame, broad jokes. Act II is better than Act I. Could use trimming. Over-mic'ed; lots of yelling.

Also Friends! is fun if you loved the show and are willing to check your br... Read more Read less

Disappointing, Raunchy, Extended snl skit, Talented & hard-working cast, Some funny moments

See it if you are a big fan of Friends, for the nostalgia. If you can get a heavily discounted ticket.

Don't see it if you aren't familiar with the series. I used to watch the show and still missed a lot of jokes ( judging by others' reactions).

Slow, Cliched, Great acting

See it if You want to see some terrific impressions of the characters (of special note the gal playing Rachel is dead-on and Joey is really good too).

Don't see it if You're looking for a true parody - it's more a synopsis of the show. The jokes are rehashed from the show and it doesn't offer much new.

Raunchy, Quirky, Overrated, Disappointing, Cliched

See it if you have low expectations, being an avid theater goer of large/smaller scale shows I was highly disappointed but there were funny elements.

Don't see it if you don't like parodies, silly theater and expect more than all 10 seasons of Friends retold in 2 hours (FYI I am a Friends' Fan)

Disappointing, Slow, Cliched, Wasted potential, Overrated

See it if You really like Friends and want to see a retelling of it with less funny jokes and bad songs added. You don’t need parodies to be clever.

Don't see it if You really like Friends and don’t need to see a bad parody of it with so-so acting and wasted potential.

Also This could have been so funny, but instead the creative team to just b... Read more Read less

Clever, Ambitious, Cliched, Cute, Respectful

See it if You LOVED Friends and LOVE parody. It's good work. Good writing, acting, staging

Don't see it if You want a rich evening of musical theater. I'd have had a more satisfying time watching a few old episodes.

Disappointing, Cliched, Good singing

See it if you have familiarity with the show and the quirks of the characters

Don't see it if you need a traditional theater experience. The crowd is expected to be rowdy and drunk, so the overall atmosphere takes on that dynamic.

Also The actors are definitely having fun up there, and they chew the hell ... Read more Read less

Cliched, Disappointing

See it if You loved the series Friends and want to re-experience some of the jokes and scenes.

Don't see it if You did not love Friends or like parodies of it - a retelling of the seasons. Some jokes fell flat.

Entertaining, Funny, Raunchy, Great acting, Overrated

See it if You are a true fan of the show and you can handle crudeness

Don't see it if You are not a fan of the show or have not watched it.

Also This was so silly. There are great references for Friends Fans, but th... Read more Read less

Funny, Great acting, Raunchy

See it if You really, REALLY like Friends, because there are a lot of inside jokes that some fans in the audience were eating up.

Don't see it if Crude humor isn't your thing.

Slow, Funny, Cliched

See it if you're an avid fan of the show and you got cheap tickets.

Don't see it if You're looking for a true parody. The actors did a great job with their characters but the writing needs work. Felt too long at times.

Fluffy, Mixed bag, Intermittently amusing, Obvious

See it if You know every episode of Friends and are amused by the mere recognition of specific memorable moments from the show. The 3 women are great.

Don't see it if You need wit or clever lyrics in your satire & are annoyed by sweaty overwrought performances (not by all the actors, but by more than one).

Fluffy, Indulgent

See it if You know the TV show Friends inside and out and would enjoy some jokes about the show. The actress playing Rachel does a good voice.

Don't see it if You want a show that actually has substance and is at all actually interesting.

Dated, Raunchy, Quirky, Fluffy, Funny

See it if you loved Friends, or if you have never seen Friends.

Don't see it if you have seen a few episodes of Friends casually, you don't like explicit humor, you're not big into stereotypes,.

See it if You are a fanatic Friends fan with nothing to do.

Don't see it if You love Friends - watch reruns on TV!

Edgy, Funny, Clever

See it if you're a die-hard fan of friends looking to laugh at a twisted version of your favorite show.

Don't see it if you're expecting factually accurate depictions of the characters.

Also Although the show was funny, it definitely put an edge to the show we ... Read more Read less

See it if you loved Friends the show. The costuming is so on point it is ridiculous. I swear they used the same exact clothes.

Don't see it if you love Chandler. His character was off or you don't like parodies.

Also I had a problem with Chandler. He was clearly much older than all the ... Read more Read less

"It's nothing the sitcom didn't send up itself. The biggest laughs are often for the lines cribbed directly from the show. A roast loses its teeth when the subject beats you to the punch line. None of this is the fault of the performers, who are giving their all to have fun with the material and ...

“The well-written book hits the series' main plot points...The singing is uneven, but the uniformly strong acting makes up for these vocal deficiencies. And while the show occasionally veers into slapstick, the parody remains at a mostly even pitch...The final number gets at the rare and magical ...

"Absolutely delivers on the promise of sending up the show...The musical happily and hysterically depicts moments from the friends’ adventures...They find the underside and ridiculousness of the sitcom plots and the cast gleefully captures the spirit, vocal and physical tics...They fare best with...

"Quick witted, good hearted, a tiny bit raunchy, and filled with laughs...The art of this piece is that it’s fun loving, not mean spirited, with well-crafted harmonies and surprisingly satisfying performances all around...Trust me, folks, it’s a really fun night. The writers managed to get the en...
