See it if You are a fan of Edward Gorey OR interested in the inner workings of an artist's mind. You can follow non-traditional flow and presentation.
Don't see it if You need a straight-forward narrative; you are easily upset by discussions of loss and loneliness.
See it if You like well used multi-media in interesting amd unusual shows. The acting is good; the actors represent the different ages of Gorey well.
Don't see it if you need a sequential plot and do not particularly like multimedia.
See it if you want to learn more about Gorey, as well as about New York in the 70's & 80's, and you're up for a bit of a mystery.
Don't see it if you have no interest in Gorey - you should do some homework first for context. Terrific perfomances, but the message is a little muddy.
See it if You like smaller plays, are up to see some great acting and staging. Want to see something different.
Don't see it if You only like bio-plays told in a linear order (this play jumps from various places in the artist's life).
See it if you like plays with a non-traditional structure and that include music, projections and if you are interested in the life of famous authors

See it if You'd enjoy a creative exploration of the long, lonely life of a repressed artist. The puppetry scenes are brief and beautifully done.
Don't see it if You have sensitive nasal passages - the set design is wonderful but someone used a heavy hand when applying wood varnish on the floorboards.
