See it if you like good music
Don't see it if you don't like doofy shows
See it if You like to see Works in Progress, you don't mind big holes in the plot, & songs that don't push the emotional journey forward. No chemistry
Don't see it if You're expecting polished, professional theater! Good idea, but young, energetic (somewhat skilled) cast is mis-directed. Needs play doctor.
See it if you want to support up and coming musical theater artists.
Don't see it if you expect catchy and memorable music.
See it if you support Asian and Asian American theater. The 3 leads have beautiful voices. Karaoke scene was great. Act 2 felt stronger.
Don't see it if you need a finished product. This needs a lot of work, artistic (poor staging and dialogue) and technical (mics went out).
See it if You'd like to support a young, inexperienced & eager cast & crew in their OB and/or NY debuts; if you're a fan of shows like Rent.
Don't see it if You expect memorable or original music, lyrics, dialogue, choreography, direction, or actors cast that can really sing.
See it if you are in a forgiving mood & you feel sorry for young actors performing bad songs, bad choreography & a bad script to badly played music.
Don't see it if you want lyrics you can understand, real dancers, good actors, a plausible plot or a theater with decent a/c.
See it if You are a family member or friend of the cast. The first half was so painful I kept wishing for an intermission. This show is not ready.
Don't see it if You have anything better to do. A relevant subject and good idea squandered. Blame weak lyrics bad directing and poor casting.
See it if The subject matter of young immigrants in NYC trumps all shortcomings for you.
Don't see it if You want minimal professionalism up to NY theater standards because you'll only find amateur mediocrity here.
