See it if You know the Anais Mitchell concept album. You like Greek mythology. You enjoy an intimate concert setting & lovely staging.
Don't see it if You want a terribly plot driven show. You have trouble making out lyrics. You didn't enjoy the concept album or like "folk pop."
See it if you want to see a Greek myth retold using very catchy bluegrass-tyle music. Amazing acting, esp by actresses playing Eurydice & Persephone
Don't see it if you don't like theatre in the round. Chairs are uncomfortable & you may not be able to see all of the action easily.
See it if U want something different, a lot of bang for your $, uniquely immersive staging, great folksy/jazzy music, & like classic Greek mythology
Don't see it if You aren't into the folksy music or Greek mythology, are finicky about seating (all seats are hard wood upright dining chairs with cushions)
See it if you are a fan of the album or the writer, you love the story and want to see a new version of it, you are into unique staging.
Don't see it if you value distinct fast-paced plot over other qualities, you don't like sung through musicals, you are a staunch traditionalist.
See it if You appreciate modern inventive staging enhancing great indie/folk/jazz music and thoughtful lyrics. Actors draw you in to the myth update!
Don't see it if You don't have patience for the unconventional all singing version of the Orpheus myth. Take 2 min to google the story and just go see it!
See it if You like to be provoked. Patrick Page alone is worth the price of admission

See it if Enjoy inventive takes on classic myths, appreciate folk, hot jazz, and close harmony in theater, Amber Gray, overall meritocratic casting

See it if love classical theater contemporized with great music and voices. Several breakout performances.
