See it if You want an evening full of original, fun, dancing, media, music, neon lights, hip hop, R & B and more. A feast for the eyes and senses.

Don't see it if If you want a play or classic musical...way different than that.

See it if An enchanting, entertaining and highly talented performers in a fun, family-friendly show. I see why they won in America's Got Talent.

Don't see it if you dislike lights, dancing, circus-like performers, or any audience interaction.

"Not to be missed if you intend to be uplifted and exhilarated to your core this holiday season. 'iLuminate' may be rather thin on plot convolutions, but the arc of development is lusciously steered by symbolism and metaphor...More is revealed than if we were watching the performers dancing in the familiar luminations of stage spotlights. The high kicks seem higher and faster; the balletic moves are more ravishing, the break-dancing spins are swifter and more perilous."

"'iLuminate' creates a magical theatrical experience that defies a theatrical genre. The story line is a battle between light and dark, creativity vs. chaos, filled with an overwhelming overabundance of talent. The plot line is rather inept, with a man trying to find himself through art…For a comic-book adventure come to life, 'iLuminate' is the show that will rock your world no matter what language you speak."

"The fluorescent outlines of the costumes leave no room for mistakes in the choreography, and the performers didn’t disappoint. Hip-hop, jazz, ballet and contemporary dance blend together seamlessly to catchy songs, a lot of which are pop music hits...It is a great visual concept but it needs to be attached to something more appropriate, or to get a strong narrative to go along. Sadly, the current production of 'iLuminate' hardly reaches beyond an entertaining concept showcase."

"You’ll be mesmerized by extraordinary special effects and exemplary choreographed dance moves in a constant frenzied pace...The narrative does not clearly emerge and dialogue is practically non-existent in the show; yet you still follow the story through interpretative dance. And that in itself is an experience – with waves of techno beats, classical music, Argentinean Tango and sultry R&B songs stimulating your senses. This mish-mosh of musical genres blend well."

"'iLuminate' is more spectacle than story, with technology its most dazzling star...When the lights on some suits are switched off, the action takes on other dimensions, and bodies that are carried appear to float and fly...At times like this, 'iLuminate' becomes more than a neon comic book, achieving a magic that’s as much a product of darkness as of light."

"With little dialogue and a loud, nonstop electronic soundtrack, 'iLuminate' isn’t about aural pleasures. It works best if you turn off your brain and open your eyes wide. The light-up suits and sets truly dazzle. And what the choreography lacks in originality, it makes up for in meticulous execution, as characters seem to fly, float and switch heads...Nuanced it’s not, but it certainly lights up your life."

"'iLuminate' is a giddily modern animated movie given pulsating life...'iLuminate' throbs with movement, which is a good thing given how otherwise inclined it is to stay in one place. It attempts to tell a story...Trying to follow it can be tedious when no one involved ever convinces you that they think it matters...But even so it was an impressively conceived and executed way to transform ordinary dance into something you've never quite seen before."

"'iLuminate' successfully combines the old and the new into a witty entertainment that is imaginative and exciting…There really isn’t much of a story, just the ongoing struggles of an artist to create… An evil figure interferes and steals his tools in order to create ugly monsters. How our artist overcomes this, with the help of his friends, becomes an exciting urban journey full of dance and brilliant imagery…They all move beautifully and are more than just a cast, but a real company."

"This show is meant to be a fun art piece, rather a deep emotional journey. The characters and story are generic with a few surprises here and there...The manipulation of lights is its novelty...Since there is no dialogue or facial expressions, the dance sequences alone feel longer than they should. The surprising and delightful moments, however, bring us back into the piece. It’s fun to see colorful outlines of fantastical creatures painting the darkness."

"Perhaps the easiest way to describe what happens onstage would be to say that it’s like watching a live version of 'Tron'...But to reduce this show to such a simple description would be unfair, given that it is filled with a joyous energy that will make even the grumpiest person tap their feet along with their tunes...With its simple but positive message and its lively execution, this is a show that will send everyone on their way back home with a huge smile."

"The combination of the technology and the choreography makes for a stunning spectacle of a show, if not an especially coherent one...It’s distinctly possible that none of the plot will be clear, since there is only a handful of spoken sentences, and it has to compete with the constant loud thumping music...'iLuminate' belongs roughly to the same genre as 'Blue Man Group' – suited for children, people who don’t speak English, and those who seek safe, legal and loud hallucinations."

"I doubt most of the audience was much aware of the specifics of the story, since the visuals are so inventive that you have all you can do just to marvel at them and wonder how they’re being created. Bodies fly apart and reunite, heads are removed, people and props fly through the air, characters appear and disappear in an eye blink, and you only rarely catch the slightest glimpse of performers moving other actors about when they themselves are momentarily unlit."

"A delight for both kids and adults, the clever and inventive entertainment 'iLuminate' brings to mind the image of dancing graffiti…The world that’s created is unique, fun and at times amazing…Except for the phenomenal lighting transitions, its individual elements, though strong, aren’t virtuosic. Keitt and Tignor’s music, although it serves its purpose, is mostly run-of-the-mill. Yet taken together these elements generate joy, and that’s not at all a small feat."

"Beautifully using negative space and light to build the world, there is no traditional set…There is a lot of fun with lights throughout the show, often just for the sake of the trick…The story points are vague, and definitely the weakest component...The cast does a phenomenal job keeping the energy up…Expect a fun dance and lights show, good for kids and fun for adults...You’ll enjoy it more if you don’t pay full price, but it is definitely en entertaining way to spend an hour."

"Full of astounding visuals and artistic wit...The choreography may not be anything you haven’t seen before; it’s the way these artists meticulously incorporate the lighting to accent the movement and create such stunning stage pictures that make this work unique...The energetic nine-member troupe is full of expert dancers...Their unified razor-sharp work is worthy of the precision of the Radio City Rockettes…There’s something for all ages in this entertaining and colorful production."

"'iLuminate' is quite an ingenious production. The dancing, music and the lights create a story with no words – and the technological wonder of these magical light suits is pure entertainment…It truly is a spectacle and the dancers are remarkable...Truthfully, the show, with its blaring hip-hop music and dance, is probably best suited for older tweens and teens…Definitely an enjoyable hour, and worth it to see how the dancers navigate the black stage and transform themselves with the lights."
