Delicious, Hilarious, Great acting, Great staging

See it if you enjoy unconventional productions of Shakespeare and appreciate good food (although do no t come hungry!)

Don't see it if you want your Shakespeare by the book and in proscenium setting and your food meat-heavy. Read more

Shakespeare as you like it, Charming midsummer night

See it if you love Midsummer Night's Dream, a good laugh & tasty food. Acting is good, staging well choreographed & blocked. Small troupe excels.

Don't see it if you dislike Shakespeare or want only serious theater in a theater setting. But eating & drinking during this play is highly appropriate. Read more

Entertaining, Great acting, Hilarious, Enchanting, Delightful

See it if you want a wonderful bare bones production of Midsummer. I laughed so hard. This 8 person ensemble Is fully committed and utterly delightful

Don't see it if you're expecting a banquet *or* a truly immersive Third Rail production. This is site specific *not* immersive. And banquet is overselling. Read more

Refreshing, Entertaining, Delightful

See it if you’re looking for a fun way of seeing shakespeare without a proper stage and incorporating food tasting into the production. great cast.

Don't see it if you want properly staged shakespeare. my one complaint was the seating can be a bit awkward but didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment

Great staging, Exuberant, Playful, Joyous, Delightful

See it if you'd relish some snacks while watching a wondrously sprightly interpretation of this Shakespeare comedy. Pure pleasure awaits!

Don't see it if you can only get tickets to the late show, you live in the outer-boroughs, and you're dependent on MTA. The ride home will be brutal. Read more

“A dinner theater production that followers of Third Rail Projects are likely to find surprisingly ordinary… some fine and funny scenes. The cast is mostly but not uniformly fine, though, and there are only eight of them...some might wonder whether the ‘Banquet’ in the title is meant ironically.”

Theatre's Leiter Side

A lively, charming, although not memorably spicy, production…Not a single line reading, pause, or gesture has been overlooked, an approach surely necessitated by the cramped, intimate quarters, but also one that reduces any spontaneity in the performances.

"Zach Morris, who also choreographed, uses the small space very effectively…[Morris] has guided his performers to speak with unhurried clarity. There is scarcely a word lost, and ones that are familiar land with renewed freshness … Emilie Baltz has designed the meals-and you can come hungry."
