Slow, Overstuffed, Disappointing, Cliched, Great special effect

See it if You love family based, sibling oriented period (60s) dramas. Want to see a very impressive special effect of a Park Slope historical event.

Don't see it if You are bored by excessive familial dialogue. Need a tight and well-paced story line. Read more

Ambitious, Absorbing, Intense, Relevant

See it if you want to see good acting. A story about immigrants in the 1960s that is still relevant today.

Don't see it if you aren't ready for a HUGE surprise. I've never seen an audience jump like they did. I would have appreciated a warning...

Great acting, Ambitious, Slow, Intense

See it if you like realistic family dramas that just fall short of melodrama. There are almost too many stories and themes within this family.

Don't see it if you are looking for a fast moving play.

Cliched, Slow, Resonant, Relevant, Indulgent

See it if you want your drama obvious and in your face Except for the delightful and quirky mother the rest of the characters are predictable and "eh"

Don't see it if If you are put off by audiences that act as if they are at a ball game! Who are these people who react as if their opinion (verbal) matters?

Ambitious, Confusing, Great acting, Resonant, Thought-provoking

See it if Thoughtful story of the three children of Italian immigrants coming to grips with economic survival and burgeoning sexuality

Don't see it if Focus is diffused and it alternates between being a story of the mother and her daughters (primarily) diluting impact
