During previews
Terrible script, Great sets, Impressive dancing, Cloying, Annoying

See it if you enjoy razzle dazzle. All is lavish: sets, costumes, orchestra, cast size. Story is grating; kid actors don't help. Valentine to NYC.

Don't see it if you want sophistication. A few strong numbers (Singin In Rain!), a few rotten ones. Those Rockettes sure can dance! Spectacle gets tiresome.

During previews
Enchanting, Entertaining, Cliched, Fun, Sweet

See it if if u get tix, u know what to expect. It's a show, and for that it is fun. Let yourself enjoy great music, dance, visuals & NY icons.

Don't see it if you don't want to tap the kid within you. No taste for wonder.

During previews
Delightful, Entertaining, Great staging, Fun, Fabulous

See it if You like big glittery production numbers, catchy music, great dancing. It was a delightful surprise, very entertaining.

Don't see it if You can't get past the kid-friendly story. While it has some cheesy moments, it's lots of fun. Great for families, tourists, & New Yorkers!

Great staging, Entertaining, Delightful, Clever, Must see

See it if You like the Rockettes and NYC and a great flashy show with lots of great dancing and great staging and new interpretations of old classics.

Don't see it if You can't feel like a tourist even for a great show. Sure there's a corny storyline but who cares. This show makes the Rockettes COOL!

During previews

See it if You love the Rockettes, NYC icons (Grand Central, Met Museum), special effects/great backgrounds, a high energy spectacular.

Don't see it if You don't like big blockbuster musicals with the world-famous Rockettes.

During previews
Great staging, Mostly fun to watch spectacle, Technologically great, It's crazy and over-the-top, but entertaining, Giddy

See it if You've never seen the Rockettes, get a kick out of overdone but fun theatrics, you want to blow your kid's mind, you like big dance numbers.

Don't see it if You want good script, reasonable plot, dance numbers that don't veer goofy. It's overwhelming, loud, visually intense, silly. And yet...

During previews
Cliched, Great staging, Ambitious, Dizzying, Over the top spectacle

See it if you like spectacle with soppy stories to tie one dance number to another. Flashy but well executed.

Don't see it if you are looking for any substance. Pure escapist infomercial spectacle for non theater goers.

During previews
Entertaining, Delightful, Ambitious, Exquisite, Great staging

See it if Bravo Radio City! Ignore the hokey plot and bask in the jaw dropping sets & effects and dazzling dancing. I was thoroughly entertained.

Don't see it if You're a cynical NYer or if you expect a play with substance. This is a musical revue that celebrates NYC & it's most iconic landmarks.

During previews

"The Rockettes are the stars of this sensory-overload summer show...But the whole enterprise is misshapen, its disconnected episodes strung together by a story that has no real reason for being and whose human scale feels utterly dwarfed on the gigantic Radio City stage...It’s a glittery pageant,...

"It all feels like the most expensive and over-the-top I ❤ NY ad, ever. And yet, this celebration of the Big Apple is often hard to resist. From a technical standpoint it's always impressive, with arresting visuals making up for tepid (often garbled) dialogue and performances dwarfed by the caver...

"Radio City Music Hall has been trying hard to give its precision-dance troupe, the Rockettes, something to do beyond Christmas — with little luck...But the third time’s the charm. This year’s edition, choreographed and directed by Mia Michaels, uses most of the same building blocks but improves ...

“The production isn't quite sure what it wants to be. The songs, orchestrated with a hip-hop beat by Christopher Jahnke, are completely unrecognizable. The script rarely has the pithy verve that is Beane's stock-in-trade as a playwright...Under Michaels' slack direction, the dialogue scenes get l...
