Entertaining, Insipid, Great staging

See it if you like big shows. Terrific staging brings NY landmarks and statues to life. Rockettes are as usual. The shows' plot is irrelevant.

Don't see it if you don't like 'Disneyfied' entertainment.

It's a spectacle

See it if You're in the frame of mind to enjoy the wonder of great synchronized Rockettes and technology making the fun NY backdrops come alive

Don't see it if You have zero patience for the lost children storyline. Surprised to see that was Douglas Carter Beane's writing! Still a fun time

During previews
Ambitious, Entertaining, Great staging, Epic, Terrible story

See it if Amazing stage craft scenery wise. Great choreography by Mia Michaels. Would have given a higher number rating with no book.

Don't see it if Aren't willing to sit though a stupid story to get to the next great number. They should give up on the story and just do a follies.

During previews
Great staging, Entertaining, Enchanting

See it if You love massive spectacle, new theater technology in action and the Rockettes!

Don't see it if You're looking for high drama.

During previews
Bad script, Expensive, Conservative, Flashy, Entertaining

See it if you love the Rockettes who shine in the 2nd half. Danny Gardner is a delight. Kacie and Lilla are game. Costumes & set. Big orchestra.

Don't see it if you can't stomach the bad SYTYCD choreography in the 1st half & cheesy script. Policy allows photos during the show. Very little diversity.

During previews
Banal, Fluffy, For tourists only

See it if Dance #'s have the razzle-dazzle you'd expect but the interwoven "book" is so insipid, dumbed-down & trite, locals feel embarrassed 2B there

Don't see it if You're not a tourist from a non-English-speaking country who's already seen Chicago, Phantom & Les Miz.

During previews
Ambitious, Slow, Fluffy, Epic, Disappointing

See it if love big giant effects and want to see the Rockettes before you die.

Don't see it if you find thin stories that stretch over 90 minutes tiresome.

During previews
Entertaining, Great staging, Fluffy

See it if you want the razzle-dazzle numbers, see great staging, and of course, the Rockettes.

Don't see it if you are expecting something new or even a substantial storyline. This is a show that showcases the popular tourist sites you can visit in NYC

During previews
Entertaining, Fun, a little cheesy, silly, ny experience

See it if you like the Rockettes - their talent certainly is amazing. Sets were super impressive.

Don't see it if you are looking for a real B'way experience. This is definitely a "NY thing" but not a big Bway show.

During previews
Must see, Refreshing, Great staging, Entertaining, Exquisite

See it if you want to see one of the most visually exciting Rockettes show in years and a gorgeous Valentine to NYC and if first time visitor to NYC!

Don't see it if you're going to be super critical of choreography (other than the perfect kick line, the dancing is lackluster compared to past shows).

During previews
Entertaining, Great staging, Spectacular

See it if You live in NYC, it will make you very proud this is your home. If you don't live here it might make you wish you did. It is Spectacular!

Don't see it if You want a great story line, it's only a vehicle to get you to the next NYC landmark. If you hate Rockettes' dancing and Technical effects.

During previews
Great staging, Great visual affect, Fluffy, Overrated, Touristy

See it if You're a tourist in NYC, a kid at heart, never seen the Rockettes/Radio City& not jaded. Having said that, visual effects were impressive.

Don't see it if You're a NYer, jaded by everything else available, hate silliness, don't like tourists can't stand crowds

During previews
Entertaining, Epic, Fluffy

See it if you want to be dazzled by superior stagemanship, enormous cast, gorgeous sets, and crisp dancing.

Don't see it if you cant abide hokey, family fun. Theres nothing new or thought provoking here, just escapist spectacle. (Not a bad thing!)

During previews
Delightful, Enchanting, Entertaining, Great staging, Refreshing

See it if 1) you're visiting NYC, 2) have out-of-town guests in tow, or 3) you're a jaded local willing to be surprised by the superb staging

Don't see it if you're expecting Sondheim or Cole Porter

During previews
Clever, Entertaining, Fun, amazing, Great staging, Riveting

See it if U love NYC. Want to just escape from the mundane. See great special effects and just not have to think but enjoy. Fun with a cute story

Don't see it if U are a Debbie downer. Are a theatre snob. Can't just enjoy for enjoyment so sake.

During previews
Great staging, Great dancing, Entertaining, Overrated

See it if you're a tourist who's never seen the Rockettes before. The staging, production, & dancing are outstanding, but the story & acting aren't.

Don't see it if you are easily annoyed by kids and the most obnoxious and rude audience in NYC who think they are part of the show who video the show.

For a previous production
Disappointing, Trite, Overrated, Good dancing, Delightful

See it if You are from the heartland and this is your first visit to New York.

Don't see it if You want to keep fond memories of the Christmas show in you heart and mind.

"The Rockettes are the stars of this sensory-overload summer show...But the whole enterprise is misshapen, its disconnected episodes strung together by a story that has no real reason for being and whose human scale feels utterly dwarfed on the gigantic Radio City stage...It’s a glittery pageant,...

"It all feels like the most expensive and over-the-top I ❤ NY ad, ever. And yet, this celebration of the Big Apple is often hard to resist. From a technical standpoint it's always impressive, with arresting visuals making up for tepid (often garbled) dialogue and performances dwarfed by the caver...

"Radio City Music Hall has been trying hard to give its precision-dance troupe, the Rockettes, something to do beyond Christmas — with little luck...But the third time’s the charm. This year’s edition, choreographed and directed by Mia Michaels, uses most of the same building blocks but improves ...

“The production isn't quite sure what it wants to be. The songs, orchestrated with a hip-hop beat by Christopher Jahnke, are completely unrecognizable. The script rarely has the pithy verve that is Beane's stock-in-trade as a playwright...Under Michaels' slack direction, the dialogue scenes get l...
