Absorbing, Great adaptation, Good old fashioned melodrama, Beautifully directed

See it if You like period pieces, strong lead actor, good writing. Excellent ensemble piece a la "Nicolas Nicolby." Brilliant use of sound effects!

Don't see it if You like musicals, or don't like shows shows over 2 hours. The lead female was miscast, but the rest of the ensemble were terrific.

Absorbing, Great staging, Masterful, Resonant, Exquisite

See it if you'd like to see a first-rate Canadian company create an engrossing piece of true theatre.

Don't see it if you have no appreciation for inventive theatricality or the patience to sit through a full-length straight play.

Ambitious, Great acting, Great staging, Slow, Masterful

See it if you like historical dramas, but with a modern perspective. Live music and creative staging.

Don't see it if You want to be out in 90 minutes. While the 2.5 hr length is worth it, the plot can be slow at times, particularly in the middle.

Absorbing, Ambitious, Entertaining, Epic, Intense

See it if Dickensesque in storytelling, profound human emotions, timeless tale of human nature, totally entertaining

Don't see it if Stylistic staging at times adds little, middle of first acts gets a little banal. Bit of a soap opera

Absorbing, Ambitious, Great acting, Intelligent, Intense

See it if you read the book and would like to recall this exquisite tragedy, or if you never read it and wonder what it's about. Fantastic acting.

Don't see it if you don't like serious drama with heart wrenching tragedy.
