Funny, Great staging, Refreshing, Ambitious

See it if you want to see musicals in an intimate theater with strong music and staging. Video and other visuals are amazing for a theater this size.

Don't see it if you want to see a book musical with linear plot or a thought-provoking serious play. While poignant at times, the entire story is light.

Clever, Entertaining, Funny, Great acting, Great singing

See it if You like over the top quirky musicals with great acting and production values. Unique and at times both very funny and sad. Standout singing

Don't see it if You like traditional musicals. Two of my friends hated the show while two others loved it. Reviews are also very divided.

Absorbing, Delightful, Entertaining, Edgy, Quirky

See it if you like to discover new young talented actors. And you want to see an unconventional show that covers a big range of music genres.

Don't see it if you want to see something that has an original and more in-depth message behind the show. The baseline of the story is cliche.

Delightful, Thought-provoking, Quirky, Great staging, Hilarious

See it if you like crazy, weird stories. There's fun music and an interesting story that ends up being a bit thought provoking.

Don't see it if you don't like comedic shows or a long-term plot. It's a bottle show, all one location and time.

Quirky, Fringe-y, Entertaining, Great staging, Funny

See it if you like offbeat Fringe fare and have eclectic musical tastes -- the score is all over the place in a good way.

Don't see it if you want an ending in sync with the rest of the story -- it was too earnest compared to the flippant storytelling that preceded it.

Clever, Entertaining, Resonant, Thought-provoking

See it if You want to see talented younger actors giving their all, topic is disturbing but thought provoking

Don't see it if You want to avoid the topic of death or only like light fare

"'Ride the Cyclone' starts as eerie fun...We get to know the dead through a series of truly marvelous musical numbers directed and choreographed by Rachel Rockwell...But the authors are too intent on quirky amusement. They don't push hard enough, and the show is finally an exceedingly cool but empty thrill."

"This new musical is quirky, exciting and quite moving...Ms. Rockwell’s staging and choreography is effervescent and practically burns up the floor…Ms. Rockwell’s ensemble is well-cast and simply fantastic…This show is as unique as it is both funny and heartbreaking…Rachel Rockwell has staged, choreographed and guided her talented cast to a production that’s as thrilling as any Broadway experience. A wonderful, touching and memorable roller-coaster ride."

"Shockingly charming, profound and uplifting. And totally original!...This cyclone ride is entertaining on multiple levels. The look is authentic…Not only are the songs wonderful, the singing is top-notch under the musical direction of Doug Peck. And director and choreographer Rachel Rockwell keeps the dancing and merriment playfully moving with seamless transitions. There are no speed bumps on this thrill ride!...I absolutely loved 'Ride the Cyclone."
