Fifty years after it debuted on Broadway, Cy Coleman and Dorothy Fields' musical is revived in an intimate setting. The production features new choreography by Tony nominee Joshua Bergasse ('On the Town') and direction by Tony nominee Leigh Silverman ('Violet,' 'Well'), who brings a fresh, modern perspective to the age-old story of a woman who thinks she needs a man to save her.
See it if ...oh, don't see it. Sutton is wrong, wrong, wrong, and the direction is terrible. A few good performances but that's it.
Don't see it if you're expecting a fresh, smart production of this play. This one's not it.
