Ten years after 9/11 and life without Dad hasn't gotten any easier. Nasrin (Nikita Tewani) bitterly recalls the surge of Islamophobia after the attacks. Francesca (Dani Pedraza) struggles with feelings of both love and resentment toward her father, who was occasionally abusive. Amelia (Nicole Chaffin), the youngest, clings to the few remaining memories she has of her father, a firefighter who was killed in his rescue efforts. Lauren (Katie Kleiger) faces the prospect of getting married without her father, a passenger on United Airlines Flight 175. Nina (Miriam Canfield) pursues a singing career to honor her blues-loving father. Roxanne (Amelia Dudley) grapples with a fear of abandonment triggered by the loss of her adoring father, who leapt to his death from one of the burning towers on 9/11. Through music, movement, and dialogue, 'The Fall' uncovers the troubles and triumphs faced by these women in their unique journeys toward love, strength, communion, and hope against all odds.
