Spicy Witch Productions presents Thomas Middleton's classic Jacobean revenge drama. More…
In this year's 'Tragislasher' repertory season, Spicy Witch Productions investigates gendered violence and hypocritical sexual expectations. While a contemporary audience can poke fun at some of the more over-the-top puritanical sexism in 'The Revenger's Tragedy,' the 'she was asking for it' argument remains ever present in our culture. And it’s unfortunately unforgivable…Of the two plays in Spicy Witch's season, this is not the winner...With various liberties and ideas taking over, 'The Revenger’s Tragedy' had a lot more than the blood stained floor to clean up." Don't see it if you have better things to do with your time than watch supposedly professional productions that are really more like bad classroom plays.
