About the show

Teatro Italiano Network presents Marta Mondelli's new drama about two couples who meet in Italy and change each other's lives forever. More…

The Tuscan countryside is a nostalgic place for Emma. When she returns for her father's funeral, childhood memories haunt her. While there, she and her husband Fred—paralyzed from the waist down due to a car accident—encounter another couple by the poolside of their sleepy hotel. Soon, they all begin to question the people they've chosen to spend their lives with. Over the course of one day, Emma struggles to reconcile her past with her present, while Sue, Larry, and Fred search for something to jolt them out of complacency.

Theatre is Easy

"The play is quite engaging, and often funny. Marta Mondelli’s dialogue always glimmers, and occasionally explodes, creating the shocked, delighted gasps one associates with Edward Albee’s work...The audience also has the pleasure of seeing some outstanding acting...Mondelli’s portrayal of Emma, however, falls prey to several classic blunders made by playwrights acting in their own work. She mugs slightly when she knows someone is dropping an important hint." Full Review
