See it if you want bare-bone theatrics that makes Shakespeare's words accessible because they're treated with the utmost respect by the actors

Don't see it if you're not into Shakespeare's actual words, you want spectacles and massive production value

See it if You’ve never seen Twelfth Night or actively dislike Shakespeare because you think he’s “boring”

Don't see it if You’re looking for an exciting new take on the greatest of all comedies or even an exceedingly intelligent classic staging

Also It’s fine. It’s your basic high-level community theatre staging of the... Read more Read less

See it if high energy Shakespearean comedy performed by amazingly talented actors delights you. Twelfth Night has terrific fools in subplots.

Don't see it if Zany and funny are not appealing for you or your party. You do not wish to brush up your Shakespeare.

Also The Multi-talented Fiasco Theater ensemble sings, plays instruments, s... Read more Read less

See it if you like Shakespeare. There are some unique aspects to this production - the opening shipwreck was well done

Don't see it if Are hard of hearing - no hearing assistance available and the dialog can get long and lost

See it if You have loved Fiasco's other productions, but are okay with this not being as good as those. 1st act is a slog, perks up a bit in the 2nd.

Don't see it if Want unique entertaining Shakespeare. This is unremarkable with only a few interesting moments. Design a reminder of previous CSC misfire.

Delightful, Entertaining, Funny, Clever

See it if you're a Shakespeare fan and looking for a decent production of Twelfth Night with fun acting and good music.

Don't see it if you want something super traditional or modern- this falls squarely in the middle. Or if you want to catch every line especially of subplots

See it if An incredibly solid production of the play, delivered with contemporary sensibilities by great actors with real comic timing

Don't see it if This is not a high concept production or one that contains a lot of original comedy/clowning

Disappointing

See it if You are not familiar with the play or Shakespeare and you may enjoy it.

Don't see it if You cherish Shakespeare's language & the play. While there were a few good performances, they were outweighed by the stiff & mechanical ones

Great singing, Slow, Quirky

See it if you have never seen Twelfth Night; enjoy good singing and a joyous energy amongst the cast.

Don't see it if you can’t sit through 2.5+ hours, or expecting a higher production

"As usual, the performers let the story tell itself, without excessive interpretive psychology...The show is steeped in a daylight lucidity, making it an ideal introduction to 'Twelfth Night' for theatergoers unacquainted with this play...But the electricity I associate with Fiasco is oddly lacki...

"Their 'Twelfth Night' lacks their usual derring-do...The production’s coziness—sweaters, beards, sea chanties—smothers any sense of risk...Toby Belch (Andy Grotelueschen) and Andrew Aguecheek (Paco Tolson) have their dunce caps strapped on tight, and their scenes together—so silly, so ass-over-t...

"A charming, unfussy take...Honest, open, and noble...There’s no heavy stylistic signature on the work — instead, Fiasco’s priorities seem to spring from the mindset of actors who deeply love Shakespeare and long to communicate this material’s great gifts and joys...This is excellent gateway-drug...

"Visually appealing and brimming with musicality, this 'Twelfth Night' never capsizes, but it does leave us feeling as though we've taken a good voyage of nothing...The production never reaches an adequate clip for Shakespearean comedy. The exposition can be downright plodding at times., while co...
