A 1970s fortuneteller fights the law for her daughter's respect in a real First Amendment case.

In 1970s Los Angeles, a fortuneteller is arrested and must prove her innocence to earn her teenage daughter's respect. Instead of fleeing, she decides to battle the legal system, seeking not only her daughter's approval but also that of her court-appointed attorney.

This story is inspired by a real First Amendment case.
