"With a Song in My Fists" is a "lightweight" farce with a "heavyweight" story; prizefighting boxer turned Broadway composer made a promise to his dying mother. See it if you can enjoy a fun musical despite uneven performances and an unpolished production. It needs work, but I enjoy myself.
Don't see it if you want a show that has already worked out all its kinks.
See it if You like musical parodies and "pulp ficton" type of productions. Sweet show in intimate setting. Great cast, nostalgic themes. Quirky & fun.
Don't see it if You expect big production, big set, big theater. You don't like pulp fiction or parodies. If you expect drama.
See it if you want to see a bunch of talented people give it their all in a cute little show.
Don't see it if you prefer big productions. This is small space w/general seating on plain chairs.
