See it if You're a fan of the show. I am not and this production does nothing to improve it in any way. The kids are great but the staging is bizarre!

Don't see it if You value your time. Not worth it. Sorry York. A swing and a miss.

Indulgent, Original, Disappointing, Uneven

See it if you want to go support these child actors.

Don't see it if you have something better to do. This isn't a great production in part because the kids are overacting and some are singing over the top too

Cute, Funny, Fluffy, Insipid

See it if If you're looking for a musical about your favorite peanuts with simple/catchy songs, barely a plot and a very talented cast;

Don't see it if If you're looking for a story and characters to be invested in. For as fun and cute as it is, the show has barely any substance.

55
Fluffy, Cute, Vignettes, Overrated, Great singing

See it if you like a series of vignettes, sung or otherwise, to portray characters. Fun to watch kids perform.

Don't see it if you like shows with plot and substance.

60
Banal, Slow

See it if You are enthralled with children performers, no matter what they're doing.

Don't see it if You've seen a professional production with young adults-no comparison and this one pales. Underdeveloped voices playing "Broadway" annoy you

Depressing, Great singing

See it if You're taking your kids and it's mainly for their entertainment.

Don't see it if You really enjoy the Peanuts world and Charlie Brown. I feel that it didn't live up to expectations.

Cute, Thought-provoking, Funny, Delightful, Entertaining

See it if you love the Peanuts comics, or you enjoy light, silly songs.

Don't see it if small children being played by adults annoys you, or the absence of a plot is uninteresting to you.

Disappointing, Indulgent, Insipid, Slow, Miscast

See it if you never saw the original or the B'way revival.

Don't see it if you don't like children's shows. The original charm of the show - having adults portray kids - is lost. It is now a show for kids.

Fluffy, Not-so-good, Not-so-nutty, Charming, Childsplay

See it if you're a fan of talented child actors, who've been wonderful in other shows, and the winsome piece itself. But it's flatly directed.

Don't see it if you agree that kids are a bad fit for a show written from an older POV. They don't share Schulz' dry wit & just do as they've been told.

Slow, Banal, Great singing

See it if Want to see a basic children's theater production . No adults in the show, no sets, no dances. My 10 yr old son liked it, found it funny.

Don't see it if You want a plot. This is just a series of comic strips, which is cute, but I wouldn't see it again. Hard to see from our seats, row J.

"With the exception of Milly Shapiro, who is a spot-on delight as Sally, all of the actors seemed to need a lot more directing from Michael Unger, whose task here is formidable...Pulling off this show requires knowing that...these characters are both naïvely young and preternaturally adult. Littl...

"The seven young performers in 'Charlie Brown'...have more impressive resumes than most adult actors...The staging isn’t much better or worse than any of the thousands of other amateur productions of 'Charlie Brown.' The kids are all very talented but they have trouble handling the vocal arrangem...

"Unger's production loses the gleeful winks that gave the original productions their humor. When presented earnestly, the show doesn't quite work...It feels like a more disturbing look at a desperately unhappy youth and his awful pals. But the kids give it their all, especially Colley, who in the...

"It's the revised version that the York has mounted with a charming and talented cast of kid actors...Naturally, there are some inherent problems with the concept. There are cases where the songs don't sound completely comfortable in developing voices and much of the humor is lost because the you...
