About the show

For the 40th anniversary of its Broadway debut, The Secret Theatre presents this classic story of chorus dancers auditioning for a shot at their dreams. More…

Winner of the 1976 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the 1976 Tony Award for Best Musical, this production celebrates the play's 40th anniversary. Broadway director Zach oversees auditions for chorus roles in a Broadway musical. To narrow down the finalists, and get to know the dancers, Zach asks that each shares something about their past. The performers, including Cassie, with whom Zach shares a past, open up about their lives and passions, but never lose track of their aim: to book the job.

Don't see it if You're expecting a great show. I looked forward to seeing it, but was disappointed. Some music was good but I got bored quickly.

Slow, Great staging

See it if You understand the process of auditioning

Don't see it if You are looking for high energy, lots of scenery changes

Disappointing, Great singing, Intelligent, Overrated, Slow

See it if you like theater.

Don't see it if you have other things to do.

Dated, Cliched, Funny, Lacked imagination, Colored within the lines

See it if You like the original show, enjoy the dancing, and don't mind so-so acting

Don't see it if You hate shows from the 70's.
