Winner of the 1976 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the 1976 Tony Award for Best Musical, this production celebrates the play's 40th anniversary. Broadway director Zach oversees auditions for chorus roles in a Broadway musical. To narrow down the finalists, and get to know the dancers, Zach asks that each shares something about their past. The performers, including Cassie, with whom Zach shares a past, open up about their lives and passions, but never lose track of their aim: to book the job.
