Masterful, Entertaining, Great writing, Clever, Hilarious

See it if You’re a fan of any level-mild to super geek-you will find this engaging and fun. Lots of great costumes and content too.

Don't see it if You’ve not seen the movies...most if not all of them at the very least at a minimum. The more Star Wars you know the funnier it will be. Read more

Refreshing, Funny, Delightful

See it if If you like star wars series, the movies of star wars, you will like this. Has good humor too it

Don't see it if A no frills show that if you did not watch series or the star wars movies, a lot of it will get away from you.

Overrated, Fluffy, Disappointing, Funny

See it if Not the worst parody ever but still groan-worthy.

Don't see it if You don’t know the Star Wars universe.

Ambitious, Fluffy, Quirky, Entertaining, Clever

See it if you enjoy young talent producing fan-specific humor on a low budget. While adding a plot to the Star Wars material, you must know the movies

Don't see it if you only have basic knowledge of Star Wars - you will miss many of the references or you want a polished production-this is low budget fun.

Creative, Unexpected, Entertaining, Funny, Silly

See it if you're looking for a fun evening with no redeeming social relevance. The production is innovative making a lot out of very little.

Don't see it if you know nothing about the films. The people behind me knew a lot & howled with laughter throughout. I know a little and had a good time.

Campy, Ambitious, Fluffy, Indulgent, Funny

See it if You are familiar w/Star Wars. You enjoy parodies. You want to support a fan-created work that's performed w/ a lot of heart.

Don't see it if You have no familiarity w/Star Wars. You want a consistent tone: veers from good bad camp to actually bad theatre. You dislike parody. Read more

Great singing, Fluffy, Entertaining, Funny, Quirky

See it if You are a Star Wars fan, fun night out with other Star Wars fans.

Don't see it if You are looking for perfection plot. If you your not a Star Wars fan.

Quirky, Overrated, Great singing, Great acting

See it if 3-character cast is very talented. Loved costumes & rap song (similar to Hamilton). Most songs catchy. High energy show.

Don't see it if The book is dreadful and cringeworthy. Couldn't wait to get to the next song. Too long (ends 1:40 after time printed on ticket).

Talkin' Broadway
May 4th, 2019
For a previous production

"The set-up is admittedly rather silly, but in a format reminiscent of a 1970s variety show, the frame allows for some clever songs (by Billy Reece) and sketches. The best are those that merge Broadway musical kitsch with 'Star Wars' in-jokes...Not everything in the show works, and a whiff of tediousness and desperation occasionally creeps into the proceedings."

Theatre is Easy

“For ‘Star Wars’ fans who liked the music in the cantina scene and need a fix until the next movie is out...The story moves along at a pretty quick pace under the direction of Michael and Tom D’Angora, although I would have been okay with trimming the characters' backstories. And Billy Recce has crafted many winning songs. I especially liked the rap, which is the perfect way to enjoy the three prequels without having to actually watch them.”

Score: 85%. "Written by Elizabeth Ann Foster From the moment you turn into an alcove and enter St. Luke's theatre it is fun. Fellow theatre goers are dressed in Star Wars gear including the iconic Princess Leia hair style. It felt like you were at a private party. Last time I was at St. Luke's Theatre was […]"

"This fun, light-hearted show provides lots of laughs and entertainment for all...This show is an irreverent tribute to the entire ‘Star Wars’ franchise, where nothing is sacred or off limits for parody, yet done so with a loving hand...The prequels are even brilliantly presented through a parody of one of Broadway’s greatest hits...The cast members are terrific...A well-executed professional production of an amateur cosplay show. I thought it was brilliant.”
