See it if You enjoy a different take on a classic in which the innovative design and direction turn your attention where it should be - on Blanche.
Don't see it if You'll be bothered by the rotating stage. I thought it was great - like peeking in through somebody's window to see the awful doings inside.
See it if you love being emotionally impacted by plays
Don't see it if you feel like a fun or light play
See it if you like updated & imaginative staging of a classic masterpiece; excellent performances with great/unsettling physicality.
Don't see it if the revolving set is an issue (sometimes the views are partially blocked in several scenes)
See it if you want a fresh Streetcar...you're a fan of Anderson or Foster. I walked away emotionally bruised and challenged, full of new observations
Don't see it if don't want a rather impressionistic Streetcar or if you're a slave of tradition.
See it if Excellent interpretation. Put a focus on domestic violence. Vanessa Kirby really allowed me to hear Stella for the first time.
Don't see it if Ben Foster doesn't hold up his end. Not terrible, just not a force of nature. Shame because I usually like him.
See it if you're open to a play slowly taking hold of you. First act is slightly disjoined, probably because of film, but second act takes off.
Don't see it if you want to see a remake of the film.
See it if You like different interpretations of classic shows. Gillian Anderson's walk around the stage at the end is something that will haunt you.
Don't see it if You like your classics "by the book".
See it if are into excellent acting, like Gillian Anderson; a great staging of the Williams classic
Don't see it if are easily nauseated (the rotating stage can be distracting)
