Don't see it if you like good acting with a good story. Writing was awful, plot ,story and acting were terrible. Worst show this yr, worse then timestandss

See it if you’re charmed by mouthy child prodigy-type characters

Don't see it if you’re hoping Rocco Sisto can elevate the hackneyed script, or that the unusual subject matter will stretch the form

Also This is as bad as a play can be without actually being offensive. Its heart is in the right place but the writing is just too irreparably bland to do justice to any of its subjects. Extreme Whether couldn’t convince any climate change denier but wouldn’t please any environmentalist/scientist either. The play is modeled off a checklist of stale conventions: the wise old man who sounds like a fortune cookie; the grating, precocious child; the misunderstood intellectual; his academically superior but still helpless, second-fiddle girlfriend; his evil twin…a seriously tedious 2.25 hrs.... Read more Read less

Also First off, there should be a content/trigger warning for this show: there are allusions to adults having sex with minors and a brief assault/attempted rape that I really wish I would have known about going in, especially because they don't really add anything to the plot! There are a lot of other unnecessary things too - most egregiously, a child's intersex identity becomes a prop in unnecessary family drama rather than something to be thoughtfully explored.

The language is also ridiculous - I was a brilliant, overachieving 13 year old and never spoke in language anywhere near that flowery. It's like the writer couldn't decide what time period the dialogue was from and just did a bit of everything.... Read more Read less
